My husband has this type of dream about 3 times a year. The setting changes as do the people but this evil presence is always there. He can feel the presence but cannot really see it. He chooses to battle this evil in all the dreams. Last night I was still awake in another room and he was sleeping when it started. I heard this awful guttural sound in our house. I don't know what the words were. I jumped up and ran to the bedroom where he was having 'the dream'. I woke him up and he said we were in a house and it was there. He tried to go after it.
Another time a man and woman were in a barn in a hayloft when he walked in. He knew the woman needed to be rescued but the other man ran off. The woman was tied from behind and the evil thing kept pulling her down as he tried to battle this thing and save her. One time it was at the top of the stairs and ny husband tried to run up and attack it. Always the sound he makes or sound I hear is horrible and it wakes me. Why does this keep happening? What does it mean? Thank you. |

Hi,
There was a BBC TV series about a sleep clinic that dealt with people having similar dreams. It is not completely understood how or why this happens. I think some medication reduces the vividness of dreams. The syptoms are worse in people who are over-weight. My experience is that some dreams that happen in deep sleep are very violent. Perhaps your husband is one of those people act out the early violent dreams. Try a sleep clinic if the symptoms are causing some problems. Cheers Wolfjk

Hi,
An unvisible evil means a hidden enemy or a jealous person around you someone who is jealous and disappointed but he doesn't recognises. But if you heard a gutural vice and it was not by your hubby so seems you should ask help God: Please whisper these short prayers if you believe. (The dawn) In the name of God, the beneficent, the Merciful. 1. Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of the dawn. 2. From the evil of what He has created, 3. And from the evil of the utterly dark night when he comes, 4. And from the evil of those who blow on knots, 5. And from the evil of the envious when he envies. (The men) In the name of God, the beneficent, the Merciful. 1. Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of men, 2. The king of men, 3. The God of men, 4. From the evil of the whisperings of the slinking (Shaitan), 5. Who whispers into the hearts of men, 6. From among the jinn and the men. The cow 2:62 In the name of God Surely those who believe, and those who are Jews, and the christens, and the Sabians, whoever believes in God and the last day and does good, they shall have their reward from their Lord, and there is no fear for them, nor shall they grieve.

Thanks for the input and prayers. My husband is not overweight and this has been going on for several years. I will look for a sleep clinic. He is retired so there is no one that we know who might precipitate these things.
I did say to him earlier that evening 'evil prevails, when good people fail to act.' He is against my reporting our neighbors who continually burn yard waste which is illegal in our county. I have not said anything like that during other similar dreams. |
