In Grave Trouble 05-06/07/2007

{Everything was in Black and White.}

I was walking through either a wood in a cemetery. Or a cemetery in a wood. It was hard to tell which because of a thick, swirling fog. Around me were trees and graves destroyed [blown apart or shattered] by some kind of severe storm. But it looked more like damage done by icy blasts than lightning strikes... .

Three dark-robed [or cloaked] horsemen appeared out of the murk. Hoods shadowed their faces. The first rider wielded a large broad-sword. The second a double-headed axe [Labrys]. The third a cross-bow. Their horses were big, black and muscular with piercing white eyes. And flowing white manes and tails. Wisps of steam[?] curled from their mouths and nostrils. I was frozen to the spot with sheer terror. And shivered because of fear and a distinct chill in the air. I swear things were warmer before they showed up… .

Suddenly a woman materialised next to me. Just as soundlessly as the riders. She was holding a ‘clinking’ leather bag. Without warning she hurled it at the central horsemen. To my astonishment it passed through both rider and horse! The bag burst against a tomb-stone showering silver coins everywhere. The horsemen wavered like shadows, and vanished into the air… . When I turned to thank the woman, she’d disappeared too!!

I gathered up the coins as fast as I could. [Well I couldn’t let just anyone get them, now could I? And I wanted to get out of there ASAP.] They were real, and very old. But I couldn’t make out any detail due to that mist.

My search for an exit seemed to be in vain, as I don’t recall how I’d got in. There was a loud chime, and I looked up. But, instead of a Full Moon, there was a huge glowing clock face! It said 1:00. By its light I found a pair of tall, black, iron gates set in spiked railings. To my dismay they were locked. Supposing those horsemen came back. What could I do?

Well...if the horseman vanished when a toombstone broke, then perhaps the spirits were attached to the stones or the graves. So if they come back to your dream, and the lady does not show up, try breaking toombstones to get rid of the men on the horses.

I'll think on the rest of your dream a little bit more before I tell you what I think some of it means...

Thank you for your feedback, Cerulean. I think you're right about the horsemen being "spirits...attached to the stones or the graves".

But I'm not sure if the woman was real, or not. Though, clearly, her coins were. Could the riders have vanished because they were silver coins. Or is that for getting rid of werewolves? And I wonder why she chose the central rider? And why all three vanished at the same time? And why were they armed, but didn't use their weapons?

This dream raises so many questions.... I look forward to hearing your ideas.

Interesting. I used to work in a prison. And, after that, a Police Station.

Tombstones have quite a few meanings. Rigidity/unmovability. Feelings of mortality, etc.

But there was no lightning. Just a glowing clockface in the night sky. Once inside the clock, and looking down, I saw a tower. But this tower wasn't there when I stood in the cemetary itself. Clearly the clock occupied more than one dimension.

#also four horsemen -very Apocalyptic. They looked solid, but clearly weren't. And equally odd was that woman and her gold coins.

in dirty language i would say that you are in some kind of middle age crisis or indentity crises, or you are too much in occult and spiritual and it's hard to go back on land. or maybe you are dealing with hard times in your life and you dont know what to do. or surrounding had made a big pressure on you and you need to know how to deal with it.
