Well I've had this really wierd dream some 2 weeks ago and I still can't figure out what it means.
Well I was on this cruise ship and I was the captain of the ship and we were in some sort of battle, and I was at the back of the ship with my best friend and some other people behind some sort of trench on the ship. Than someone came and told me that we were being attacked and I began heading toward to the front of the ship. I saw some guys from my school sort of having some kind of a party I think or enjoying themselves at least, and I continued heading towards the front of the ship. There I saw another of my close friends this time running away and screaming, and another of my friend being hit by a some fireworks from the other smaller cruiseship which was attacking us. I went further to the front to the ship but I saw a firework heading toward me and I ran away. Than I was going down the stairs on the ship and a guy from my school who I don't like at all came next to me and I told him "How are you commodore?" and he smiled, and at that time in the dream I figured that he was my second in command. Than I entered into a room, it was sort of a chapel on the ship. In it were only a few peopl till now, they were waiting for mass. I went to sit down next to a priest who I know in real life (I go to a Jesuit school) and I don't really like this priest that much, and I gave him some priest garments and a cross that I was wearing which I think were his. Then the dream ended. So yeah its a really strange dream, so does anyone have a clue what it means??? |

Hi,
Being on a ship means working for the government and being a warrior means receiving some dignity. Seems you will have problems with another work group.

Screw the guy in front of me. You will win a ship, host a party, and Rambo will start launching fireoworks at you.

Since the dream has stayed with you, it’s likely commenting on an important issue or attitude that it would be best to be more conscious of. There are various methods that are adhered to by various groups as to how a dream should be interpreted, but here are a few ideas using a method that basically views dreams as being meant to balance out the sometimes one-sided view that the ego can develop.
In this approach, it would be best to know more about you overall because only then would it be clearer what the dream might be trying to “balance out”. For example, if you are generally a shier type of person, then being shown as the captain of a ship might be trying to encourage you to be more outgoing and confident overall. Alternatively, if you are somewhat forceful with your schoolmates, then being the captain could tend to be advising the need to reduce in some way a certain “commanding” attitude towards others that might cause “conflicts” (battle). The battle might also represent overall some feelings of day to day anxiety in dealing with the stresses involved at school and at home. Being at the rear of the ship could possibly symbolize the wish to be mostly unconscious about any anxiety and stress, while moving forward could represent the need to face these head-on more often. In this method of looking at dreams, often someone appearing whom we don’t like can unfortunately symbolize certain traits of that person which we would prefer not to share but which we do sometimes, so you’d have to be honest with yourself and try to determine if there might be some attitude or behavior that you have in common with the “commodore” on occasion. A similar approach might be required with the image of the priest. Overall, perhaps the chapel and your wearing priest’s garments could indicate that you sometimes may take on a certain “father superior” attitude regarding morals or some other issue because presumably you’re not currently old enough to be a priest in outer life. However, without knowing anything about you, it’s not really possible to provide too accurate an interpretation. If you’d like to explore further this particular way of analyzing dreams, a very good introductory book would be “Inner Work” by analyst Robert Johnson. |
