Eggs in a Pan and Baby Birds

I had this dream a couple of years ago and I still wonder about the symbolism. I checked up on birds in the dictionary here, but it didn't help. unclear.

Dream:

I had a black skillet filled with eggs on the stove--I'd say two dozen, but I'm not sure on the number. I had a few inches of water at the bottom and had the heat on low to keep the eggs warm. My two children were in the kitchen with me, but I had to go outside for a few minutes and attend to something. I knew I probably shouldn't leave the eggs, but I did.

When I returned some of the eggs had hatched and some were finishing hatching. Fuzzy, gray, baby birds (they were big, they could have even been ducks) were running around the house and my kids were having a grand time chasing them and putting them in a box.

I noticed that two fledgling didn't get out of the pan. They were in the water, drowned or cooked to death. I was so sad and felt so guilty because that wouldn't have happened if I had been more diligent.

The other birds were flapping about on the floor. I turned my attention to them and joined the kids as we gathered up the babies. I was worried that my son (he was 2 years old at the time) was going to crush them as he picked them up, but he was sweetly gentle with the fledglings.

That's all that I can remember. I don't know the species of bird.

If dreamt hatched and had chickens means a dead or forgotten job of him will revive .If a teacher dreamt so and he teaches holy books to the children it means he will have a child.
