Religious Studies Teacher and Handout

I had a dream im hoping someone could interpret.
Well I am taking an Asian religion class with lets say Professor A.
And so I dreamt about this teacher and a theme but I dont understand it.

Well all of us students were sitting in a religious studies class and the professor wanted me to read a handout. He seemed to have intently picked on me and I picked up from the dream that he was clever to pick me for some reason. Well I was reading it like any other thing, and some lady or two got really upset over the content of the handout. They were basically offended, petrified and one of them left the class. I figured it was because it said something as controversial as abortion, but i am not sure. So then the teacher makes a grin and looks embarassed. So i felt sorry for him and i said well 'i wish i had as much conviction as those other students have but i just dont' basically I was putting myself down. I dont understand what this dream means? Basically I think its telling me something about myself that I need to know, Im sure the theme will reocur until i get it right. This dream was pretty vivid, there was this hazy shade of blue around the dream ...

I know this isnt too interesting, but if anyone has any comments i'd be glad to hear them, thank you.

Well all i remember which isn't very much, was that it was about a controversial issue of life, and it was taken out of the context of a newspaper. It annoys me that I dont remember what it was about, in fact I think the dream did not want to reveal that to me.

it seems that you have joined or will join some type of group or society.teacher is the leader.everyone in gorup specially you not aware of actual principle or motive of group.your teacher may use you to spread some twisted knowledge which will be not in line of common belief.some people in group may get the idea of actual motive.some will leave the group other will get in line with that.but you will still not understand the inside story and will feel that you r not giving your best for the cause of group.leader's grin shows he was already aware that it could be embrassing for few people.

Hi, just a couple of things jumping out at me...

The professor chose you to set forth this controversial subject to the class and choosing you was a clever move. Are you underestimating your talent?

This suggests that you are an open minded person willing to debate and ponder even the most difficult subjects.

Some of the other students basically fled. You wished you had their conviction. Yet you stood your ground. No reason to put yourself down.

Then you feel sorry that he is embarrassed without thought for yourself.

Is the dream not telling you that you are a strong and able student with a lot of good qualities?

This shines through to me but what matters is what you intuit from it of course.

I think you are sensitive about political correctness. You know how easy it is to upset the applecart when there is religion and race is involved. Perhaps you had a slight disagreement or made a mistake somewhere. If you are from the UK you will know that honouring Salman Rushdy upset a lot of people.
Perhaps your dream is connected to it?

I hate dreams that do that. But maybe there's a reason. That things will become 'revealed' later on. Maybe at the 'right time'. Possibly 'someone' felt you 'weren't ready' to 'receive' this 'message'. Or felt it might worry or upset you.

BTW, can you remember which newspaper you read? And what the article was about?

Hello thanks for your interpretations. I think everyone's makes sense but Im not sure which one is most true??
Actually I felt like the article came out of a national newspaper like the New York Times or LA Times, Washington Post, it was probably one of those. Anyhow I do think that I wasnt ready for the message because I felt really eerie about it. The dream ended on a creepy note.
But I do like what Gaye brought up. I actually do underestimate myself alot and have some good qualities but like Supna said I could be gullible and read into esoteric religions though I really shouldnt. I think Im going to put this dream to rest, because its mind-boggling to me. I just hope it doesnt foreshadow a negative thing...

I've had a fair few dreams inspired by Buddhism and Hinduism, though I was actually baptised Church of England [Anglican]. And went to Sunday School as a kid. I think it was living in the Far East that changed things for me. And, I feel, for the better....

Although, lately, I note, the 'Christian' side seems to be 'fighting back'! Any Catholic imagery in my dreams isn't too surprising, as that faith is 'in my genes', so to speak.

So don't worry too much. Or 'lose sleep' over it. Not worth it.
