remember what to do

i was sleeping in my room with my door closed when a man with dark hair and black eyes (not fully black only the coulored part )came and stood in the door way i awoke suddenly like i had been having a nightmare. the man came and ordered me to stand up to didnt want but some he made me stand up telepathicly or something like that when i was standing he told me to "remember what you have to do" he then slapped me his hand was freezing as soon as i did i woke and where he slapped me hurt like someone really had slapped me and it was cold too

This is a typical waking dream. The dream brings you awake by showing you some colours and something or somebody who frightens you. The words "remember what you have to do" are also there to bring you to wakefulness. The last slap onyour face and feeling the cold is the last part of the waking process.
Now, I am sure you think the man actually hurt you and you felt his cold hand on your face. It is not so! The dream woke you up because your face was actually cold and hurting in your sleep. The dream was doing you a favour by waking you up.

Hi, just a couple of thoughts about your dream.

Could the order to stand up be telling you to stand up for yourself in some way?

The slap as a wake up call? Some teachers slap their students to shock them in to waking up and seeing something differently and in a new way.

Maybe there is also an issue of personal security in that you say the door was shut and you were sleeping and he entered your room.

I don't know if this is of any relevance but it seems that something is trying to get your attention.
