I usually don't remember many of my dreams mostly from a lack of sleep...so when i remember them its usually hard to get them out of my head.
A couple weeks ago I had a dream that really bothered me. I was in a room with 2 other people. I'm not sure who the people were. There was also a big bowl in the middle of the room filled with water. We were all losing our teeth and spitting them in to the bowl of water. I remember I was losing the most teeth though. They were coming out whole in my mouth...it was mainly my molars. There was also a little bit of blood coming out also. I can still feel the way the teeth felt in my mouth when i was spitting them out. It still just creeps me out. Another dream that I remember was from the other night. I don't remember much of it except....I was in a house with some old friends from high school. We were all going to go to an amusement park and we were getting ready. Inside the house was this little room that you almost had to crawl into and thats where we were getting ready. I remember I was in there getting ready and I was putting all these rings on my fingers. They were all fitting perfectly. They were huge jeweled rings...i remember one had rubies, one had sapphires, and i think there was a purple and maybe a pink one. I remember feeling very happy. I just thought it was an interesting dream. If anyone has any insight as to the meanings of anything in my dreams it would be appriciated. thanks! |

Hi ashley
well dreams are sometimes visual representations of real life thoughts and ideas. Here you are in pain along with others but you appear to be more in pain. Thats a perfect visual representation of the conceptual feeling "I it affected everyone but I was affected more than the rest. Its always the case. I always seem to be affected most" dreams use metaphors like this. It maybe that the previous day this theme came up. Maybe the previous day this thought crossed your mind . ------------------------ Often one symbol in a dream will seemingly have no relationship to any other. Totally bizarre things happen and there seems to be no sense to the dreams meaning. Thats because some symbols have a very cryptic meaning. A parachute may simply express the need to escape from a very difficult relationship. The need to land safely is a direct comparison to the need to land safely in an emotional sense. Yet within the context of the dream it makes no sense. It seems confusing and funny when we describe a moment when our granny gets hit by a parachutist. But dreams are like that. One portion of the dream makes no real sense within the story of the dream. Yet its meaning is there. The trick is to weave together various symbols. So see how that parachutist links within your own real life thoughts. So if you woke up that morning and felt "Yesterday I started to realise that I need to get out of my relationship with my boyfriend. He is being totally abusive. Right now I just need to escape with as little fuss as possible". Its likely that this dream about a parachutist is directly linked to those real life thoughts. Then start to piece together a wider meaning to the dream. Look at the possible symbolic meanings to the other symbols and try to see what the dream is saying overall. thank you for your reply!
I am not sure what happened the day before the 1st dream because it was a while ago. But I know I was going through a hard time with many relationships in my life. I was fighting with my ex, i was frustrated with my job, my best friend did something that really hurt me and i found out that my grandpa has stage 4 cancer in his brain, bones and lungs. I don't really know much about dream interpretation but maybe the fact that i was losing my molars meant that i was losing things that were really close to me. They just kept coming...which is how I felt at the time with my life and the problems that I was having. I guess I am more confused about the 2nd dream. I know I am much happier in my life right now...i feel very content. So maybe that is why I had a happy dream. The fact that I had all these pretty rings and they fit my fingers so perfectly...i remember feeling so happy. But i can't help and feel like my dream was really trying to tell me something about my self that I don't like. I recently started dating a guy who is very wealthy and so are his friends. I am not a greedy person. In fact people always say that I am one of the most giving people they have ever met.(I am not saying this to brag) So i know I am not with him for his money. But it is something that bothers me. I wonder if I am sometimes. So maybe the dream is my subconscious trying to tell me what I am really doing? I don't know. Or maybe I think that I don't deserve to be happy. I have read some dream dictionaries about rings and dreams and they don't really explain enough for me. Because its always about 1 ring or losing a ring. I have read about dreaming about rubies and sapphires also...they sort of make sense but not really. I am not sure what a ring master is but one dictionary said they dreaming you are one means that you are taking control of your hectic life....and my life has been really busy lately...and is just starting to slow down. Maybe its something more simple than what i think. thanks for your help though...you really made me realize that I need to think about these things and what i am truly feeling. I just wish i knew what that was. |

I wonder if I am sometimes. So maybe the dream is my subconscious trying to tell me what I am really doing? I don't know. Or maybe I think that I don't deserve to be happy You would know if you are in it for his wealth, but if you arent sure, clear you mind and think about it. And DON'T deny it to yourself if you are. Respect yourself and DON'T lie to yourself if you are. You are going to get what you think you deserve. But respect yourself, have high self esteem and KNOW that you deserve to be happy. Don't settle for events, people or anything else that don't have RESPECT for you. |

well if you look on my own website my interpretation of teeth follows exactly the interpretation you gave yourself(you are in pain losing things/people close to you).
Dream symbolism and dream dictionary interpretation - The meaning of teeth in dream analysis I slightly deiated from that interpretation this time because the emphasis was on the pain. But you are pretty much on the right track. Dreams do have a major link to the day before. But thats less so in your case. Relationships on the poiont of breaking up[ or causing you stress may cause dreams at any time... simply because they are alive in your mind constantly. ------------------------ The dreams we have are very much related to the brain and how it devotes time to the pressing needs in our lives. The dream mind can decide to try to look at the bigger picture. In other words we may suddenly stand back and take a good long look at our lives. We may ask what is the point of carrying on with a job that we hate or a relationship that is falling apart. So in that way the intuitive mind may decide to take an objective look at the reality of our lives. At other times the dream mind will be content to get caught up in the little issues in our lives. It may wonder if we should get ourselves a new hair cut or if we should decide to get a new digital TV. So the dreams we have will sometimes reflect the bigger and important long view but also expect them to get caught up in the seemingly mundane issues of everyday life. Try to see what type of a mood you are in. If you suddenly feel as if you are thinking more in the long term then look at your dreams in that way. They are likely to link to general issues and about the bigger picture and how you live your life. They may reflect your own personality and some changes that you are trying to bring about. Thank you unclesirbobbyrobson for replying again....and thank you also Darkstar!
unclesirbobbyrobson...your definition is exactly what I was talking about..it is so weird to me how dreams work and how our mind takes emotions and turns them into these symbols...which seems to be universal for everyone. Darkstar I guess I am just used to paying for myself and for others...so when someone else pays it makes me feel soo guilty. For some reason I am the kind of person who feels guilty even for things I didnt do. But I do deserve to be happy...its hard for me to really believe that. I was in a very bad relationship for 4 years. My bofriend was very verbally abusive. I am learning how to really love myself...even my flaws. I thought I had a higher self esteem than I really do. Thank you for all of your help and understanding and for taking the time to help me sort out my feelings! |
