Default As a samurai, I dreamt I was to look after a young child.

It's not surprise to me that I had a dream I was a samurai warrior. The only strange thing was that the setting was not in feudal Japan. I'm not sure where the dream was, but it took place in the future.

From what I remember, I was in some kind of market place. The place was filled with people. I remember some of my allies were there, and there were also several other bounty hunter type people in the mix.

Suddenly, approaching was a notorious dark warrior, that possesed some kind of dark magic. He wanted to fight me, because he wanted the challenge. I was known to be a force to reckon with and not too many people in their right might would challenge me. But before we confronted each other, I was somehow distracted by my old guru who was there. He told me not to bother with this guy and said I had more pressing matters to attend.

He handed me this child, a young asian toddler girl, who I was supposed to look after as a father untill she can fend for her own. I then took this child and cradled her in my right arm. I remember feeling a sense of love for this child even though we were not of blood, or race (I'm caucasian). And I felt obligated to make sure this child grows up right.

So, I had this transformation as an independant warrior to a protector of some sorts. I never had this kind of dream, and I almost feel like the young girl I was looking after is real, like I can still kind of sense the spirit.

What do you all think this means? Is it some sort of premonition, of things to come? Ideas... thoughts

Very interesting dream and there are alot of things there that could be definately symbolic, though someone else more trained on the matter is needed. I am no expert sorry and I am only new here, but with the dark notorious warrior and you having a greater sense of obligation to a child whom you love and must raise, tells me that, and especially since it was in the future, you need to look after or at least pay attention to what is most close to you and most important rather than paying attention or energy to things you might enjoy doing. Or at least it could be that you must walk out of something bad when you have responsibility to others elsewhere, where your kind of strength is most needed, and any harm that may come to you may be fatal and or needless. If you ask me it may as very well be something to come.

Dreams use one situation to represent another. How has this theme linked in to real life? On the day before did you read some news story that especially got home to yiou the plight of some suffering people?

------------------------
Many dreams simply link to very immediate urges and problems which demand attention immediately. If you are sexually aroused when you wake then interpret the dream in that sense. It is likely to link to involve sexual and fleshy emotions. It will include a real sense of excitement.

Dreams are often about your own inner emotionjs. They show you judging if you have doen right or wrong. Perhaps it is judging you on arrogance ? perhaps you maybe realised that you were a little too sure of yourself the day before? Look for themes in rweal life repeated in dreams

-----------------------------
The dream mind is a conceptual mind. So expect the meaning of a dream to be a conceptual meaning. Try to think about the ideas and emotions that are forming in your mind. Dreams can be about health issues, they can be about relationships, they can simply reflect some paranoias in your mind. Simply put dreams are about the STUFF in your mind. So instead of trying to interpret the dream try to think about ideas forming in your mind.

Whats more dreams concentrate on new feelings. They capture those moments when your feelings change. For instance the moment when you started to mistrust your boyfriend. Try this page as it shows you how to spot the issues which trigger dreams
