Default Pregnant with a deer?

I didnt realize I was pregnant until I felt the odd sensation of a baby moving inside me (I have 3 kids). I looked down and saw a foot and an outline of a face and thought OMG, I didnt realize I was pregant. I have been drinking! I hope the baby is ok. I had my falopian tubes removed so I would not get pregnant again, I cant believe I am. I realize it is a little girl and think I dont want four kids but for me to get pregnant without falopian tubes, it must be meant to be. Than I think, what about the cost of child care. But a little girl, I am scared and excited. Than I realize I am actually pregant with a deer. I think to myself, OMG, what if someone thinks I got pregnant by screwing a deer. I realize that I must have got pregant when I went to the dentist and he must have decieded to do some weird experiment on me when I was under. Oh, man I REALLY hope no one thinks I screwed a deer.
I must have some anxiety I need to deal with.

It sounds as if you had either an interesting affair or a intimate encounter with someone unexpected and it was an animated affair that brought pleasure but the experience was unusual and you may have felt that it should not have occurred. It does not sound to me like an underlying anxiety but more akin to a pleasurable experience or a desire you harbour to have one possibly with someone within your sphere of social contacts.

Hi,
getting pregnant usually is interpreted as some money on the way as big as the belly was.
A baby girl also means happiness and blessings.
Deer means a girl.

It’s usually best to know a lot about the dreamer and what was happening just before the dream in order to give an accurate interpretation, but because your dream comes from the deeper layers of your psyche (the image of your being pregnant with a deer), it might be possible to hit upon a couple of ideas that will hopefully make some sense to you about the meaning of the dream.

For example, it’s very common of course for the image of being pregnant to represent some new inner development to be coming. That seems to be the case here. It is a “magical” pregnancy and unexpected (no fallopian tubes), upsetting the dream ego because of many things including the money (energy) that will have to be expended on the new arrival.

The little girl likely represents the “divine child”, your true self that wants to be born come hell or high water, whether the ego really wants the challenge or not (“must be meant to be”, “scared and excited”). Three followed by a fourth (already have three children) turns up in the mythology and stories of many cultures and usually points to this idea of the “divine”, wholeness and completion.

The symbol of the deer is strongly connected with the feminine such as with the Greek goddess Artemis. It has also been connected with fleeting, rapidly-moving intuitions, and of course with forests as representing the unconscious mind. In stories, deer often guide people through the forest and this tends to represent the need for renewal, leaving behind “civilization” and its fixed non-instinctive ideas in order to gain additional, broader viewpoints.

Another analogy is that just before the birth of her foal, a doe will chase away her young from the previous year. There might be a hint in this symbolism that there may have to be a gradual loosening over the coming years, step by step, from the image of yourself as “mother” toward a more all-inclusive image of yourself as a fully rounded person who has developed potentials in herself beyond the skills of being a mother.

Although you are still young, the psyche usually has its eye on the very long term, and the reality is that you will soon be 35, traditionally a turning point of life toward its second half. Often, the focus gradually shifts from the tasks of establishing a family and so on to rounding out the fuller personality as well as possible. Pressures of growing children don’t just disappear, but in general terms its usually best if a mother gives herself at least some time to develop things she may have had to give up when the children first arrived.

Perhaps you unconsciously view this deep call of nature with some fear because it doesn’t fit in with what society sanctions in general terms (“I REALLY hope no one thinks I screwed a deer”). You may also feel some anxiety from thoughts that just pop into your mind about how you’d really prefer to be doing such-and-such instead of having to spend so much time tending the kids etc. (dentist’s weird experiment).

Anyway, these are just some ideas that I hope will shed at least some light on the potential meaning of your dream.
