I dreamed this last night. I was standing in a vast grass prairie. The grass was short and green. There were no buildings and no trees as far as I could see, just row after row of fence, the kind cattle ranchers in the old west had, with the old wooden posts connected by barbed wire. The sky was thick with dense black clouds so even though it was only the afternoon, it was as dark as the middle of the night. The darkness was the wickedness of human kind, and it was so great, that no light from above could get through. I knew that the Christians could bring Light to the world since GOD's light is inside them.
I was looking for food. There was a cooler you'd see in the gorcery stores right out in the open. I grabbed a package of meat and it was rotten, so I put it down. I went to grocery store after store was found only bad food but that is what everyone wanted. I didn't understand. Why would you build big impressive grocery store and fill it with bad food? Finally, I went into a Christian grocery store. It was very small, but all the food I ever needed or wanted was in it, and the food was the best quality. There was only enough to supply my daily needs. END. I know the rotten food is corrputed knowledge due to sin, and the small looking grocery store with the best food represents the Kingdom of GOD (see parable of the mustard seed in the Bible) and the abundant life promised through Jesus and the darkness represents the wickedness of the world...the only thing I am stuck on is why was the world depicted as one big grass prairie, kind of like one giant lawn, divided by very old fences? Is it depicting it a state of spiritual desolation? Last edited by rocketsquirrel : 06-15-2007 at 03:13 PM. |

here are my notes:
I don't why the world is shown as one big lawn divided up by unending rows of fence without trees or buildings but I feel its important. I think the dream is saying that wickedness is right out in the open, with no place to hide anymore. The cloud cover above represents the energy of wickedness from sin in the world, instead of the smoke of offering to GOD going up to Heaven, the wickedness is a black smoke stinking up to Heaven. We are Christians are the only source of light that can get through the darkness people live in as we carry the light of GOD within us. Searching for food is a search for truth, but because the world has been saturated with wickedness, all truth has been corrupted. The extra big grocery stores are big churches where people love to go and be impressed by appearances, and to fullfill a deep desire for a corruption of the truth. Finding truth without corruption, is getting harder and harder to find. The truth, the WORD of GOD is uncorruptable. The Christian grocery store represents the Kingdom of GOD and the church that refuses to compromise the truth. Uncompromised truth satisfies. |
