Default Message from deceased father

First let me start with a little history. My father passed away in 2002. He was diabetic and was on kidney dialisys. He had to have his right leg amputated just above the knee the month prior to his passing. He had a massive stroke and the doctors took him off his meds and dialisys and gave him a week to live. Three days later he passed away. There is a question I have about my dads passing that I have been asking him to answer for me. And am just wondering if this is the answer and if so what it means. I have my interpertation but would like someone who has no knowledge of the family situation. I need someone objective. Thanks for any help that I recieve on this matter.

My father and I are in my yard and he has just told me that he has been bitten by a snake around the foot, ankle or lower leg area (this leg had been amputated shortly before his passing). Since there had been gray rat snakes seen on the property in the past, I assumed that is what bit him. My granddaughter had asked me what happened to him and I reassured her he would be OK since the snake was non poisonous. My father then told me that he had been bit by a Copperhead and not the other kind. As he was walking around I would tell him to be still so the poison would not get to his heart as quick. At the same time I told my granddaughter to call 911. Then I went to make sure she was ok since she is only 6. We were in the house and looked out the window, the Copperhead was lying next to the house under the window. At this point the Snake is huge I mean really huge Anaconda huge. Big enough to eat my granddaughter huge. It does not move just lays there. Then the dream ends. The bite one my dads leg is from a normal size snake. So why does the snake become more human sized?

I know this is not the the interpretation you are expecting, however I'm giving you my honest opinion based on a long experience of studying dreams.
Dreams are always about what is going on in the sleepers mind and body, mostly the physical influences, aches and pains. My guess is that you had a sharp pain in your leg - whether it was caused by actual pain or the imagined sympathetic pain suffered as a result of your fathers amputation is unimportant.
The dream is anightmare that has to wake you up. The fact that your fear for your grand daughter is involved and the snake increasing in side are sure sign that you were suffering considerable physical or mental pain in the sleep and had to be woken from.
The messages and perhaps your regrets of not having done something for your dad before he died is in your mind.
Cheers Wolfjk

Default Other thoughts

Ratsnake = you smell a rat?

The child asks "why"? This perhaps is yourself asking the question. There is no rat to be found. Not you or anyone else did anything wrong. The copperhead may refer to the actual poisoning of your father's system by the fact that his kidneys were failing. Waste products could not be removed effectively. A small problem becomes a huge (life-sized) one.

I am sorry for your loss.

The snake is a a complicated and multifaceted symbol. It can actually represent healing (as in the Rod of Asclepius)
or even represent things pertaining to sex! So taking the dream interpretation from an objective person may not be that effective here.

My experience has been that it is *usually* better to have insight about a person when interpreting a dream. For instance, I do a great job interpreting my brother's dreams since I know him well, how he thinks, what is going on in his life. Plus, our common family experience
sometimes is useful in identifying a symbol or two.
