Last night I dreamt of something odd that never happened before. I am walking along the sidewalk and I see a sparrow, with one wing completely severed from injury. As I am usually the kind who will step on it to end its misery, I do the opposite and take it home and take care of it. The next image that appears is the little bird always on my right shoulder looking out for me everywhere I go. Any ideas?

If one dreamt was hunting sparrow chicks and broke their necks and put them in a bag means he will be a teacher and will punish them seriously. If dreamt hunted a red sparrow means he will marry a beautiful woman. If hunted a yellow sparrow means will marry an ill woman. If dreamer is honest for him sparrow means a man with dignity if isn't honest and dreamt trapped a sparrow means he will deceive an inferior man and will defeat him.If dreamt hunt a female sparrow means an honorable woman overcome him.If dreamt had some sparrow flesh means he will receive some money from a woman. If dreamt took the sparrow chicks out of their nest means he will have a sorrow and annoyance. Some interpreters say a sparrow means a child. If dreamt many sparrows were making noise means he will sit with riotous people. If dreamt he swallowed a sparrow means he will have a child. If dreamt he killed a sparrow or died in his hand means he will have a loss or there is a death danger for his child. If dreamt took a sparrow nest in his hand means he will have a powerful child. If dreamt found a sparrow means he will have a child. If dreamt had a blind sparrow means he will sit with a faddish man.If dreamt found a sparrow and he is poor means he will receive a few dollars but for rich people means he will receive hundreds of dollars. If dreamt took the sparrow chicks out of their nest means he will have moral and immoral children. If dreamt he was hearing sparrow song means he will be surprised by a news.If dreamt he was hearing sparrow song means he will praise God.If dreamt had collected many sparrows means he will have a directorship and plenty of money. If dreamt was killing the sparrows means he will kill people or has killed.Sparrow may also mean : 1- a governor 2- a honorable person. 3- a beautiful page or steward. 4- a judge 5- a fighter enemy 6- a greedy person for having sex.

Generally speaking, birds in most cultures are often connected with being messengers and this motif often appears in dreams. Intuitions, “flights of fancy” and creative thoughts in general often emerge spontaneously from our psyches and can be very helpful in day to day life.
Perhaps there has been a tendency for you to “cut off” these inspirations too quickly sometimes (wing severed) and the dream is saying that rather than squishing them, listening to and expanding on them (caring for the sparrow) could lead to an ongoing flow of valuable hints for day to day conscious living (sitting on right shoulder). |

Hi-
Some interesting thoughts are already offered but I wanted to mention the nature of the sparrow. It is a songbird. (I also had a sparrow dream last christmas. Although it was quite different, when I work this image I discover more about it. Here is an excerpt from an essay on dream-tending I wrote... The American Heritage Dictionary of Words on-line defines a songbird as songbird: A bird, especially one of the suborder Oscines of passerine birds, having a melodious song or call. The Latin word for sparrow is passer. The little brown sparrow belongs to the family Passeridae. Of the many interesting facts about sparrows one in particular tells that the male of the sparrow specie...uses more learned components in its songs, while the adult bird through which sparrow learns such song, is called the song tutor....The sparrow has a song, is a songbird and possesses a song-making potential. This song-making potential...means the sparrow must first learn ‘how to’ and then use more and more of these learned components to draw forth out of itself the unique and just-right ‘trrill’... The bird on your shoulder reminded me of the image of the song tutor. Blessings, mythopoet |

Perhaps it means that if you befriend someone when they are down and out, you could gain a valuable ally, and mentor.
