Gatherings of many

Last night I had two dreams, both seemed to have the central theme of gatherings of people, the first, I returned from lunch/work (not sure) and my house was filled with people having a party of some sort, but the mess through the house made me very angry - mud and potatoes (boiled) everywhere! Then the second dream revolved around a gathering of elderly women, not sure what the meeting was about but everyone was very supportive and hugging one another....

any ideas?

Social gatherings in dreams can mean two things entirely, either you need to be in a social setting or you need to have some personal space. The way you interact in this social gathering says alot about how you feel in them and whether that's a part of your life that needs work. The mud and potatos, mud is usually a symbol of feeling guilty or dirty. But, it could also be that you feel that someone has done you wrong. The potatos is a staple of stabiliy, perhaps you feel like what was calm and safe is now unorgainized and chaotic. Dreaming of both mud and potatos is a hard one to interpret. Mud can also be a symbol of despair and potatos a symbol of the more 'earthy' aspects of oneself. This dream says to me that you feel a bit overwhelmed and in need of peace and quiet, maybe a little appreciation would be nice. Maybe even a friend?

Hi,
If people gathered in one's house without invitation means there will be a sorrow on the way.
Mud if brown or black means a sorrow, but red mud means a happiness.
potatoes mean money.

Another thought here is that both dreams are about social gatherings. One is the after work crowd, and the other is elderly ladies. Perhaps you are maturing or need to mature in some way, from a rowdy, messy potatoe thrower to a kinder, gentler, hugger.

Many thanks all for your help and advice, so much I can take from all of you, there is a bit of turmoil in our lives at the moment and I can realte to everyone's comments - hopefully this will not be a long period in our lives and there will be sunshine on the other side soon.
