Dream about working in a chinese restaurant

I dreamed I was working as a waitress in a Chinese restaurant. We were really slow this night and having a good time together and goofing off. Then we suddenly started to get busy. The tables hadn't been cleaned off or anything because we'd been goofing off, eating and stuff and talking about movies. The place started to seem really dirty. No matter how many tables I cleaned off there were always more that were just as dirty. Then this one couple came in and was seated at a table for 2 at my station. The guy was really nice and was a regular there. The girl was being a jerk about the service and the cleanliness of the place. Another large group came in and while I didn't have to wait on them it seemed that something was always preventing me from finishing the order for the one couple at my station. They had ordered hot peach tea to drink, but I was never able to get it out to them. I guess they decided to leave, or the girl did, because the guy came over to me and said he understood they were busy but they had to go, but he would be back because he was a regular and knew the place wasn't always like that. Then my alarm went off and I woke up.

*****I know this isn't a dream about work because I am not a waitress, I do telemarketing work. I have read that a restaurant dream usually means you are having a hard time making decisions in life, but I wasn't the customer at the restaurant, I was the waitress. Any ideas?

Sounds as if you were caught in some, possibly strange, social situation unprepared and whatever or whenever you attempted to remedy matters you failed to restore the image you would have desired to impart and it looks as if it drew some condemnation. The occasion was probably important to you or could have been had you previously known of the opportunity. It sounds as if there was a person of some social standing in your life involved. If you have not previously worked in a restaurant then you appear to be aware of the language used.
