Default Hearing Friend's Voice in Dream

Last night I dreamt about a friend I am falling in love with. The scary thing was was that I could hear her voice when she talked in my dream yet she wasn't there. Is it possible my brain filled in her voice or that we had a mutual dream?

There are such things as 'mutual dreams'. A tutor of mine at College gave me a good example of one she and a friend had:

The tutor dreamt she was in her house looking out of a window. She waved to a friend in the garden, who waved back in response.

The next day she told the dream to the friend who'd she 'seen' in that dream garden. To the tutor's amazement, the friend knew all about the dream. She said that she'd waved back because she saw the tutor in the window waving at her!

They were unaware they'd had the same dream. Even though both, subconciously, had 'been in it'! So I believe that it can happen. I think on that 'subconcious level' you'd probably 'connected' with you beloved.

Cheers, Jon

I definitely do believe in mutual dreams. The reason why some people may be sceptical about them is that they are so rare. Maybe you could share this experience with your beloved, so she can provide you with the answers you´ve been looking for. Good luck with everything!

Hi Falling in love can have strange effects on people. You sleep in fits and starts. Peple often hear knocks, bangs and their names called in sleep - especially near morning or the first half hour of sleep.
People related or close to each other may have similar dreams, however the dreams are most likely tobe caused by talking about the same subjects, eating the same food or having or doing tha same things. We dream similar things because we are all human, However dreams concern only the sleeper and the sleep the dream happens in.
Cheers Wolfjk

I do believe in mutual dreams, i believe they occur when two people are on very much the same 'wave length'. I can't say whether or not yourS was one, that is something you'd have to ask your love. I don't think they are so rare tho, i think they are just not always brought up in conversation. The human brain is such an unknown organ, it's abilities have not been fully studied. I believe that all of us are able to have mutual dreams, see the furture and so forth, we just don't know how. And we may not know how for another thousand years. But every once and awhile(and more and more commonly) i believe someone unknowingly taps into that part of their brain. I believe that is where mutual dreams come from.
Or we could just go with "okay, licia's crazy" and leave it at that!
best of luck

Hi Rockstr,
Yeah why not. It sounds plausable to me. The human mind is an amazing thing. And they say we only use 10 % of it. It sure leaves a lot of room for a lot of things. Including hooking up in a dream.
Good luck with your possible girlfriend.
Vee

That's the word I was looking for Vee - 'wavelength'. Fits in nicely with the 'mutual dream' I posted on!

I wonder why we only use 10%? I've heard, or maybe read, that at different stages in our 'evolution', different parts of the brain were 'triggered'. Probably an adaptive reaction [survival instinct[ to changes in climate - warming, cooling, and the changes in flauna and fauna that went with those. I note we were using stone tools for a very long time. Hmm.....

Like Vee, I'd like to wish you luck rockstr.

Cheers, Jon

You're not 'crazy', Licia. Your and Vee's postings on my dreams show that you are both very intuitive, instinctive and highly intelligent in your insights and views.

Thanks with I think!

Cheers, Jon
