HI , I have been participating on your site i think since 2003.
Ever since you changed the web site i have not been able
to look up any of my past dreams. Not even the ones that
i had posted last year can be looked up. You made it
so difficult because there are so many conditions when i go
to search a past dream. I don't think you have made this
very user friendly. Its too analytical- its not like a dictionary
or table of contents or even a word search. Before i would
just place my name and all my dreams would show regardless
of the date. Even so I would put a title and so many of my
dreams would show or other peoples dreams. On the new site
its is so tight that even if i put one word nothing shows not mine
not anyone elses dream. Varzandeh had told me that some things would
take time to materialize and to confirm when it happens but
i cant go back to read the dream to confirm it. or to even let
him know that his interpretation was right. Is there anyway I
can look anything up on the old message board?

The old message boards were powered by perl, did not use a database, support no longer available etc etc.

There where tech reasons for the change.

In the past I used "free" board software. In the interest of preserving the future of this board, I choose to buy very expensive, well supported, database driven software you see now. Why?

The future.

The database is backed up, so in the event of server tragedy it can be restored. Also, this is *highly* supported software and is used by people running professional level support boards.

The future is important to me and you, clearly, since you "wonder why" you cannot access year old posts.

In the future you will be able to, there is no "pruning" the board saves ALL posts in a searchable archive.

The bells and whistles of this board are *not* why I choose it, and it was a big "gut check" to switch board software. Biting the bullet and buying pro software for you guys was something I *knew* might not be all that welcome *now* but in the future you will be glad I did.

I hope this explains why the change.
