Talk with God, kind of scary

My husband dreamed he was talking to God (presumably) and that through some discussion between them he would be taken away. It was not in a sad way and it was emphasized that at some point we would be reunited. Now almost every night he dreams that they have now come to take him away. He wakes up and feels for me to make sure he is still with me. It is a bit scary for me. Any thoughts out there?

A very natural phenomenon. I take it that you both have been together for quite a number of years as this typifies the togetherness of long-term close relationships and the inevitability and realisation that the relationship is nearing or getting close to its end. Your husband's dream is simply a manifestation of this realisation. If I can add a personal comment here; whenever my wife snores, I love it, as I know that she is still with me. Enjoy the moment!

Hi Jennings,
I hope you don't mind a word of advice. Snoring is not a pleasant experience for the snorrer. It means that she has difficulty breathing in that sleeping position. If you gently put your hand on her arm or shoulder and apply a modicum of pressure in the direction you want her to turn, keep the pressure on for some time, it will change her dream and she will turn over or move from the snorring position. ( I learned this trick in 1954!)

I think your husband had been effected by a hell-fire preacher. Perhaps he is over religius and takes things literally.
