dream about a snake

Hi, I'm new to this board, but I had a dream last night that is bugging me and I want to know what it meant.
a little bit about me:
Im 23 y/o career firefighter/EMT
work alot,
I'm engaged to get married to a women that I love deeply.

about the dream

I was laying in bed and had my hand laying off the back and a snake tried to crawl up my hand, it seemed so real, I sat up in bed and woke up, and realised it was just a dream.

thats it, simple and sweet, just wondering if it has any meaning, i didnt get bitten or anything, but it is bugging me. any help is appreciated. thanks.

Relax man! It is probable that your arm was getting painful and the dream was trying to make you pull your arm forward. I am sure you would have felt your arm hurting.
Another explanation may be that you over used your arm by climbing ladders or excersising and it had cramp in it. Perhaps you also have a bit of tension at work and at home right now.

Hi and congratulations on your up and coming marriage. Okay i interpret this dream as you might or are going to have a mishap. But you are going to come out of it. i see the snake as an "enemy" someone trying to bring you down but since the snake didn't bite you, you are going to come out on top. a very short dream indeed! Snakes are cold-blooded creatures and could, in your dreams, represent sinister characters. Since your hand was hanging off the bed it may have felt vulnerable (much like monsters under the bed for children). It could also be a reference to a cold-hearted person in your life (could be an aspect of you) that you are trying to ignore or keep at bay. Your vulnerable hand may have attracted it. Hard to say, tho.
