Strange Dream - But I Think It Will Be Easy For You Guys To Help!

Hi all,

I'm new here, but was told this was the best place to have this stuff done.

So, here is my first dream (probably pretty simple):

I was sitting in a reasonably dark room, on what I remember being an old, itchy couch - I think it might have been a room from my grandmother's house. Sitting beside me was a girl who I think I have feelings for in real life (she doesn't know though). We were holding hands, and I remember feeling content. I remember her hands feeling small. As we sat there, people from other elements of my life walked past the entrance to the room - they all waved at me or acknowledged me with smiles, but never her. After several people had gone past, the girl whispered that she was cold, so I hugged her to me. She sighed and smiled, but I remember a feeling of sadness. In a few moments, the dream just ended.

I can't help thinking that the hands were important, every time I think about the dream, the feel of her hands is always the element that springs to mind first.

Hmmm, yes I thought the hands were important. Still, the meaning of the dream eludes me a little, perhaps I have to look elsewhere to find the answers? It must have had a real effect on me, I can still remember it in every vivid detail, even though I had it several nights ago (which is rare for me). Any more imput would be appreciated.

Dreams that conway emotions usually happen near morning. The purpose of the dream is to wake you and leave you with something to think about. All emotions - whether good or bad contain mental energy that occupy your brain in times of a boring life and humdrum existence.
From your dream I gather that your relatives would disapprove of you choosing a female companion without their advice. Perhaps a religius hang up?

No...I'm 100% certain that they were her hands! Your interpretation about my relative's dissapproval is particularly interesting. We're not an exceptionally religious family though, and I'm not aware of anything that would cause them to dissapprove...

Hi, because I dont know you or anything about you my interprtation may be completely incorrect but this is how i saw it when i read you post.
you say you think you have feelings for her in real life but she doesnt know.
I'm wondering if you are afraid that if you tell her and you both feel the same and become a pair, that other people that are already in your life or your family wont accept her - I say that because you say you are sitting with her and her hands feel small (you are worried that she will feel small and non existent in your family/friends eyes) and all the people you know acknowledge you but not her. Hope it helps

You may actually have a point there...hmm...you may have hit the nail on the head. We're a pretty close family, and now that I think about it, I am not really sure how she'd fit in...lots to think about...
