I dreamt that my best friend was saying he couldn't do something (although, I didn't catch what it was) because he loved me. He noticed I was there and he looked at me and specified..."I'm IN LOVE with you." Then he kissed me. It doesn't shock me because I know that I have feelings for him. I have always hoped he had the same feelings, but never had the nerve to ask him.

Being that you have feelings for him, and it is your dream, it is no wonder this played out like this. The only thing I can say is that your dream is simply what you want to happen between the two of you. You should really tell him how you feel, I'm in a bit of a similar situation and I have reasons I cannot speak, but should you not it could easily eat you up inside. Which could make you someone you never was.

I realize that, should he not feel the same for you, this could be crushing for you. However, you must ask yourself something; can you really live the rest of your life wondering what would have, could have been with him?

I did not mention that we have been best friend for 14 years. We crossed the line once seven years ago, but never again after. He is commited right now to someone else, and I as well. Also he lives in another state 2 hours from me and we both own our own homes, so would probably not be willing to move. Well, I would, but him not so much. I couldn't say anything to him about feelings because it could potentially break up two relationships.

You sound like a bit like me. I happen to be married but have found love in another woman. I urn to tell her but have not because it could potentially destroy two relationships. Or she could reject me throwing me into a downward spiral of hopelessness. In any case, you'll have to search within yourself to determine if what you really truly want in your heart is him or not. If so, then you'll have to take the risk, otherwise, it's probably for the better to not. I myself have come to realize what I really want, but cannot figure out how to say it. Kinda cheesy I know, but the truth usually is. So I have written so many things in my journal to try to figure this out. Alas, I'm still working on it.
