Hand Dream

I had a weird dream the other night, from what I remember of the dream, it went something like this.

I looked into a chest freezer (with someone stood by my side, cant recall who it may have been) and seen a hand (right one to be exact). After seeing the hand, i looked down to look at my own hands and noticed my right hand was missing.

I wasnt alarmed, nor did i panic at seeing that i had no right hand, i just seemed to say "it's ok, i dont really need it" or something along those lines. I didn't know if the hand was my own or someone elses. Later in the dream I was trying to eat a meal and realized i had no hand to help cut my meal with and decided i needed the hand.


Well, that's all i can remember, I hope there is someone out there who can help me interpret this.

This is an interesting dream. It is not easy to decypher the way the subconscious mind communicates with the brain. Sometimes dreams use very strange concepts to get across what they want the sleeper to understand.
In this dream the allusion to the freezer may represent how the hand feels in the sleep. My guess is that your hand felt numb and had pins and needles - which your subconscious interpreted as cold. Noticing your hand were missing made the connection between the brain and how you felt. However dreams have the function of keeping the sleeper asleep for as long as possible - hence not being alarmed about the hand. also the feeling that it might not be your hand slightly lessened the shock.
However the final command of the dream that shakes you into waking is the realisation that you need the missing hand.
It sounds fantastic but dreams sometimes work in an unfathamable way. Seeking what hey mean is futile, the important thing is what they are trying to do and how dreams manipulate the levels of consciousness in sleep.
