Frozen Cakes and Shopping for Antiques

I met that I knew dressed in a black suit. He had asked me about two ice cream cakes that he had kept frozen in a freezer for two years. Both had white icing, but one had yellow flowers and writing and the other was done in red. He asked me to sample them to make sure that they were still good. I did and assured him that the cakes were fine. Then I asked him why he was saving them and replied that he wanted to save them both for a special occasion. I replied that everyday that we are alive should be regarded as a special occasion and that if they weren't shared then he would be left alone to eat them himself. He nodded in agreement, but put them away.
Then my wife and I were shopping for antiques to decorate our house with. The shop had been a library and contained many old books as well. The clerk was trying to help us but she refused to listen to him and only complained about how much everything cost. I began looking at books and made my way to the back of the shop. I noticed that I was outside and the room was overgrown by vines. There were many dark crevices and I was careful not to put my hand where it couldn't be seen. However, two boys came in and I told them to be careful, but they refused to heed my advice and were careless, however nothing bad happened to them. Next, I cut some of the vines and began painting the shelves there even though it was dark. When I was able to shine a light on the shelves. I cut some of the vines and noticed that I had used green to paint the shelves with.
As you can tell, last night was a busy night for me. Any help or interpretations are always welcomed.
