Default Digging Up a Rotten Tree Stump

My wife and I were living in a house that had a rotten tree stump in the side yard and just along the sidewalk. I wanted to remove it because it was an eyesore, but a rumopr began circulating through the neighborhood that I was digging up buried treasure. This rumor drew a crowd of women who gathered to watch me work. I used a spade to pry it apart and made short work of it because it was so rotten. At the bottom of the stump were two pairs of pajamas which belonged to my wife, one was blue and the other one was white with flower designs on it. She had placed them in their to stop the stump form leaking water.
Any help or interpretations are always welcomed.

the dream can be interpreted in a few ways: negative and positive.
I think the overall feeling of the dream was positive, so I will go with the positive.

I think you wife has replaced your family and hes permeated your subconscious and enabled you to grow out of an infantile bubble that all humans need to outgrow at some point in their life.
This of course does not necessarily mean that your family was good or bad, but you have made a normal transition away from your old family, mother, father, siblings, and become more of an independent individual that does not necesarily need parental approvel to feel good. YOu have replaced this need with the aproval of the feminine, and your wife.

the buried treasure is her; that is why women came to look. Women love a good love story.

Hi Smitty,
A very interesting dream.
I think the dream obliquely refers to your sense of smell. Perhaps in the past you dug up fresh earth and smelt dicaying wood - they both have a distinctive but not unpleasant odour. Your dream may be interpreting a scent you experiencing during this sleep.
Cheers Wolfjk

Hi Carlos and Wolfie,

Both interpretations are very interesting. With two teenage boys in the house it is hard to tell what you may smeel here on any given day. Carlos, I have to say that I have never thought of all the different ways that my wife has helped me grow in many ways over the years. Thanks for reminding me and thanks to both of you for your interepretations.
