dreaming of deceased friend

I've had many dreams about my friend that passed away almost a year ago. I've been to a psychic and she told me that he is with me a lot, especially around my infant son. I had a dream the other night that he was going into my parents house with me, but we ended up inside my work (I work at a nursing home as an aid). He stopped in our shower room where one of the housekeepers had broken her leg and a lot of people were standing around, so I walked over to the desk. There was a kid I went to school with there (I never once talked to him) He said, "She's going to die". I thought that was wierd since she only had a broken leg, but my friend Nic never came back out to join me, and I woke up. I later realized that one of my residents who died last week had a lot of complications from a broken leg, which eventually led to her dying. The housekeeper that was in the dream was outside the room as the nurses and paramedics were working on her and she was very upset. Do you think there was any connection. When I woke up I had the feeling that Nic was really visiting me, which I feel in a lot of dreams that he hugs me or tells me he loves me, so I can tell he was really visiting me.
