One of my regular dream topics lately are snakes. Some times they try to bite me, but never have. For some reason when I dream of snakes the dream bothers me for a long time. Two nights ago I dreamt that snakes became attracted to me, they were all drawn towards me. At first it was just Mole Snakes and they did not scare me, however it became Adders and Cobra's and although they were not threatning they made me nervous. I realised that they were attracted to my feet, but even if I washed my feet they were still atrackted to them. I was not scared by all the snakes. Also some of my work work friends were there to assist moving me to different locations in order to avoid the snakes. I did not wake up feeling scared, but definately baffled, and with a definate feeling that I should find out the meanig of this dream. I always have the same sence of need to know after waking up from a snake dream. Can any-one shed some light on my dream?

Hi G-
I also have dreamed about snakes in the past. I was told that snakes are jealous people in my life.

Hi Kathie
Thank you for the response. I have been told that too. Although I have also been told that snakes have something to do with ones health. The thing that is bothering me the most in this dream is the non threatning behavoiur of the snakes, the fact that they were atracted to my feet, and the fact that there were many of them. If these snakes represent all the people that are jealous of me, most of the people that live in the area I live must be jealous of me. Also why would some be non-venomous and others be deadly-venomous snakes (why differentiate)? Ta G

Biblically snakes refer to a deceiver.
I wonder if people are decieving you and some of the deceptions are really non threatening, while others are toxic lies.

Hi Kathie
You might very well be correct!. However do you know the feeling you get when you believe there is more to something than that which is showning itself? This is how I feel about this dream. I am a very active dreamer, and although very few of the dreams stick those that do (good or bad) haunt me for weeks, and for some unknown reason the snake topic keeps coming up in my dreams. On the other hand your interpretation could be correct. Have a Good Day

SNAKES : Snakes are in some ways quite difficult but in other ways rather easy symbols., They are difficult because they can refer to lots of things such as an awkward sexual encounter, a person you do not get on with, a person who is deceitful, and a fear that some bad thing may happen very quickly. But all these things can be reduced to some simple questions - what is the biggest problem in your life right now? What do you fear in the day to come? What difficult relationship is causing you problems? What problems are you wrestling with?
QUESTIONS to help you make associations(pick the one that makes most sense to you) - Did you particularly dislike some bad atmosphere the day before the dream? - What do you fear will strike at any moment? - What bad relationships have been troubling you yesterday? - Has someone been behaving in a nasty or deceptive way? - Do you feel that someone is trying to draw you into a dispute? - What creative projects have you been wrestling with? - Do you feel that the snake could be a phallic symbol linking to sexual activity at the time of the dream? KEY WORDS : Problem, trap, dilemma, complained, wary, deceiving, strike at any time, blamed, problem, difficult task, sex(write down some quotes that capture your key feelings on issues that have been dominating your mind) KEY PHRASES(Pick a quote which captures your feelings right now. Think especially of the new thoughts and feelings you have been clarifying in your mind) : - "I do not want to be drawn into that dispute" - "she tries to twist everything I say" - "I feel she could die at any moment " - "I am terrified - it could happen at any moment" - "Its such a difficult relationship" -"I was singled out for criticism" - "She snaps at me" - "He complained" - "They started fighting" - "I just cannot deal with that" - "You ought to be wary of him" - "I do not like being in that atmosphere" - "I know she thinks I am trying to avoid the blame" - "I realise now that I was wrong to deceive my ex girlfriend" - "Its a task which I cannot seem to conquer - I am just lacking creativity and insight" - "it could have been a phallic symbol" ----------------------------- Dreams are about feelings not reality. Many times we have persistent worries about issues. You maybe worried that your boyfriend or girlfriend is not as commited as you would like. A dream about this does not mean that this is true. It merely shows that this is a worry. Perhaps its a signal to raise the issue and talk about concerns. I tend to interpret snakes as symbols of problems, traps, dilemmas, complaints and things like that. ItÂ’s interesting that the dream features workmates. Are your workmates trying to make life easier for you? Do you wish that they would? Is the pressure too much at work? What difficult relationships have you got at work?
-------------------------------------------------- The only person who can truly interpret a dream is you. Many dreams contain symbols that are quite personal. Symbols can have many and varied meanings. The trick is to test out some theories. A dream featuring soldiers may link to a need to endure hardship in your life. If there is an obvious situation where you are having to show greater endurance or maybe you had a tough day the day before then thats probably the meaning of that symbol. Yet the soldier could link to the need for discipline and the need to follow rules. So test out a theory by seeing if it works out in practice. But the only person who can try out different ideas concerning the symbolic meaning is you as only you can make the connections with real life. A dream once interpreted will often merely show that your mind is focused on something. It may not necessarily show that you have come to a new conclusion on things. So try to link the dream symbols to the things that have been dominating your mind. Think of moments of doubt from the day before. Think of tasks that you are hoping to achieve. Think of health problems that you are attempting to overcome. Think of ways in which you have been reading the behavior of others. http://www.geocities.com/hairybobby2...ssayhowto.html How to use dreams symbols http://www.geocities.com/hairybobby2000/dreamessay.html DREAM DICTIONARY http://www.geocities.com/hairybobby2...ookpolice.html Examples of correctly interpreted dreams |
