Butting In

I was teaching at a school where I was 15 years ago. I had a good working relationship with the principal there. However, in my dream there was an issue that needed to be addressed between him and me. I was planning on discussing this issue with him. Later, I went to the office to wait on the principal. I stood at the counter to talk to the secretary when my wife swung open the office door and stormed into the principal's office with my former principal. He was very angry because apparently my wife had talked to him before I had the opportunity. I resented the fact that she had butted in.
Any help is always appreciated.
