Default Ghost Stories From My Past

I just remembered that I wrote an article for one of my other web sites awhile back that you may find interesting concerning ghosts.

http://www.spiritandsky.com/death/nd...ommunications/

You might not want them in the book since they are not specific to dreams, but figured you would find them interesting anyway.

Mike

Not long after my Mother passed away, I dreamt I was climbing a sheer cliff face - it was a huge effort, as I climbed over the ledge at the top my Mother reached over the edge and pulled me onto the flat surface of the rock - we lay there, the warm sun on us, laughing like children -
I woke up then, with a smile still on my face - even to this day, some 14 years later that dream is SO very clear and vivid - I haven't dreamt about her since.
Maybe it was her way of telling me she'll always be there for me and things will be fine no matter how tough they seem at the time.

I'd be intrested to know you thoughts or feedback on this one.

Default Grandpa

Hi Joan,

I'll pass on the dreams I had.

My grandfather passed away after a long battle with everything that can happen in the later years. Unfortunately I was never told he had passed or invited to the funeral. A fact my grandmother was not aware of. After finding his obituary in the paper weeks later I contacted her. It was about 2 weeks after that that I dreamt of him.

It was a simple dream. We were in a room I'd never seen before. We sat facing each other. I was surprised to see him, and he looked so well. I apologized for not having known he was gone. He let me know he was doing very well now. Throughout the dream, however, my vision was distorted. Kind of like moving up and down in front of a fun mirror at a carnival. But there was no doubt who I was speaking with.

My grandfather had always been a very quiet observant type of person, so the conversation was short, but it meant alot to me.

Another very profound dream I have had about a loved one was actually about a guinea pig. Lady Mae was my favorite girl. I had no idea so much wonderful personality could be packed into such a tiny body. After a cesarean section for 3 pups and a battle with a skin condition, Mae passed sadly and suddenly away. I was very hurt. The night following her death she came to me in a dream. She was in a beautiful meadow. She was perfect, whole and very very happy. I was excited to see her and we had a good time just being with each other for a few moments. I excitedly said to her that now that she was better she could come back with me. Amazingly, she told me, without making a sound, that no, she had to stay where she was now, she couldn't come back with me. I was sad, but knew she was in a very good place that she loved.

When I woke I felt so good to have seen her and felt better knowing she was alright.

Default My grandpa

I had a dream about my grandpa the night after the night he died. I figure that this dream must have been my subconsious helping me deal with his death as we were very close (and it served its purpose). Anyways, here goes:

My family (dad, mom, sister, and grandma) and I were all sitting and talking with my grandpa at a park bench in a beautiful and bright park. I cannot stress the brightness of the park enough. The park was the more bright than anything I have ever seen. In fact, all the colors were intense (the light, the green grass, etc). If I didn't know any better, I'd swear it was heaven.

I was not myself in this dream. I saw myself and everyone else from far away. I also could not really hear anything (as I was watching from far away). I could hear mubbles and muffled laughter. My grandpa (all smiles) would say something and we would all laugh. My grandpa always had a great sense of humor and we were all so happy. He died with Alzheimers, but he was back to his old self in this dream.

My grandpa died on Jan. 6th, 2001. I guess I had this dream on Jan. 7th. I still remember this dream in great detail. That does not happen often (I usually dream and then forget it five minutes after I wake up).

My dad had a dream a few nights after my grandpa died in which he saw my grandpa kneeling at the throne of God and God said something to the extent of "faithful servant, come home." My grandpa got up and entered heaven. My dad and grandpa are/were very religious.

My sister had a dream a few years later about my grandpa. She dreamed that he came to talk to her and told her that he loved her, he was very proud of her, and that he was not confused anymore (no more Alzheimers).

Obviously, my grandpa was very special to all of us. If I can be half the man he was, I will do good in this world.

Default Dream about deceased father

Hi,
My dad died nearly 3 years ago. After he died my mum moved house. In the dream I had I was at my mums new house, my dad was there and he was sat on the sofa next to where my mum always sits, mum was in the kitchen making dinner and she called me through to carry plates. I was given my dads plate to bring through but on the way I dropped it and I was saying sorry to dad and saying I would share mine with him but he looked at me and said "it doesn't matter, I'm dead, I don't need to eat anything" and he was laughing at me but then he started to change and he sort of shrivelled up and became almost skeletal as he had been before he died.

Currently, I am working on another book which also focuses on dreams. Specifically, I am compiling dream stories where deceased loved ones have appeared to offer encouragement, comfort or advice to the dreamer. It is slated to be of interest to both dream aficionados as well as those dealing with death and the ensuing grief.

Do you have just such a story you are willing to share? If you do, certainly post it here if you like, however for it to be considered for my book, you will also need to email it directly to me at the address below. Please be assured that you will have final approval of how the story appears in the book once it is written and that all names will be changed to safeguard those involved.

Thank you for assistance with this project and I hope to hear from you in the near future.

Hi Joan

Well, my being a member of this website stems from a series of three extremely vivid dreams I had 5 years ago about clear running water. Although all the dreams had a different theme, the clear running water was the obvious link. I dream a lot but had never looked to having them interpretted before these three as I jusk knew there had to be something. I found a dream site on the web and sent them in. Vazandeh replied and said I would receive an unexpected benefit I had not earned in a week to 2 months time. Two weeks later my Aunt took ill quite unexpectedly, a week later, just when we thought she was recovering, she took a turn for the worse and died. I had flown down when she suddenly got so sick and when she died her broker told me where her will was in her house where I was staying......and she had left me personally her fabulous house in a little town I have always loved! I then knew there was something in these dreams we have. I never expected her to leave me a thing.

Anyway, that was the start........that night after reading her will and telephoning the broker back to make sure what I read was true......I went to bed (in her house) and said to my mother, I am going to ASK her if she really meant to leave all this to me. Before I had gone to sleep, her best friend had given me her rings, one of which I always admired, my Aunt had given them to her for safe keeping. I put my favourite one on my finger and gave my sister the other one (she was also there). I got into bed with a mission, to ask my aunt if this was all real, obviously I was very in tune with her that night. I dreamt vifvidly about her but instead of saying to her when I saw her in my dream "did you mean to leave ME this beautiful house?" I said "Do you mind me wearing your ring?"....she replied "That is fine, just remember, shoe polish is addictive!".....and that was it....it was VERY vivid, but that is what she said!!!! Anyway, confused I sent it into the website. The background is, apart from the house being my dream house, my Auntie was very talented and it was FULL of beautiful things she had either made or acquired and was a showpiece that only she with her exquisite taste could have put together so well.....every one talked about how her house was so exquisitely furnished and decorated and she was noted for it. There were some things that I couldn't understand the significance of or why she had them hanging up but they had to be personally special to her for what ever reason.

Varzandeh came up again, not knowing ANY of this back ground and said something to the effect "your Aunt has left you the house and the Shoepolish thing is telling you....it is YOURS, and you do with it what YOU want to make YOU happy....don't keep it as a shrine" Well, I was blown away and actually moved here 2 years ago and that interpretation has enabled me to personalise this house for me.....I love her things but needed to put MY treasures in that mean the world to me. Had I not had that dream, this house would never have felt like it was MINE......I would be living in my Aunts house!

One more thing is, before my Aunt died, my dad died. He and my mother had moved to a town from another country about 20 miles from my Aunt. My father lost all his pension money through a huge fraudulent enterprise that caught out a lot of pensioners in South Africa at that time. It ate away at him that he could not provide for my mother the way he had before he lost all he had. He resented my Aunt (who wasn't short of a penny) offering help and refused any assistance from her as he was a very proud man. Anyway, when my Aunt died, I had my mother move into the house as I was living up country and my Aunt had a little dog that needed to be taken care of. My mother had at that time sold the house she and my father had and was living in a cottage she had rented especially built for widows of second world war soldiers (which my father had been). My FATHER appeared to me in a dream one night looking VERY confused, he said "Your mother needs to pay this bill!" and had a municipal account in his hand (he was an accountant and was always totally up to date with his budget and accounts etc). I went up to him and looked at the bill.......all that was on the paper was "6 HERON STREET".....I knew that he was trying to find out where my mom was, nothing else. So, not wanting him to know that she was living in my Aunts house, I explained that she had sold that house and he need not worry, she doesn't owe anything to anybody. He looked at me, then at the paper and was gone.

This all makes sense to me, and you are welcome to use it if you like. I know they visit me in my dreams and when they do it is either with a message or they are just in the background of a family scene so I know they are somewhere out there and maybe drop in now and again.

Regards and very good luck with your book, there is definately something in it.
