Default J. Wolfe, are you still in need for stories?

I noticed months have passed, and the response was great! Good for you! I am now wondering if you could use one more story or not.

Default Dreamed of my great g-ma

This dream happened when I was between the ages of 8 &10.
I was asleep in my room and this old lady I didn't know came in my room and covered me up and said she was just checking on me making shure I was ok.I woke up at this point..............This is when I went to ask my mother who the old lady was.My mom asked me to describe her so I did.My Mom said it was my great Grandmother who died when I was just a year old......I figured since you were loking for dreames od the dead visiting the living I would share this one.She has never came back again, but I have never forgotten the warmth she put off or the love I felt when she covered me up.I really belive it really was my great grandmother checking up.

I have quite a few the first one in

I entered my living room and sitting there on the blue couches was my Caryn. I immediately ran over and hugged her. I cried, I had so many questions. I sat down and started to ask my first one when she interrupted me.
“Can you go get me a Mountain Dew?” she asked, I ran downstairs to retrieve her mountain dew. There was a purple flower in a vase on the coffee table when I arrived with her can of soda. Throughout the dream it grows ever slowly, blooming more and more brilliant flowers. Light was coming in from the windows. The light was so bright I could not see outside, but it didn't hurt my eyes.
Caryn cracked open the can and took a drink. “Thanks Stooge!” she said, that was her nickname for me, a random word that popped in her head, right now it was Stooge. I always loved her calling me nicknames like that. It meant she loved me.
“Caryn?” I asked “What is death like?”
She shrugged, “I don't know, I never really felt anything. Only it felt like someone smacked me on the back of the head. Next thing I knew I was dead. It wasn't scary or anything.”
“So you never felt the fire?”
“No, I didn't feel any fire.”
I started crying at this point. I held her close to me, I could smell her shampoo that she used. Up to this point I had this terrifying vision of my sister trapped in her car screaming to get out while she burned alive.
“I love you Caryn.”
“Stay strong for mom, she needs you.” She kissed me on the forhead. “I have to go now.” She got up and walked around the couch. I turned to say goodbye to her but she was already gone.

The most interesting thing about this dream though is that a week later the autopsy report was released. Cause of death was blunt trauma to the base of the head causing the spinal collum to snap, knocking her unconscious instantly. They found no trace of smoke in her lungs.

--------------------------------------------

I was in a hospital type setting, yellow sunlight was diffusing into the rooms and gave it a warm glow. Caryn was there, I was so excited to see her. I said, “Oh my god! Caryn! I'm so happy to see you. What is heaven like.” She told me that it was wonderful and that everyday she gets to live a complete life from birth to death. Every life was different and Every life was absolutely wonderful.

-----------------------------------------------------

July 16th 2008

I was in a old industrial elevator that was operated by the bellhop. “Alright here's your floor, everybody off.” Yelled the bellhop as the doors opened. There stood before me were the gates of heaven, they weren't gold like most people think, they were even visible most of the time. But you knew it by the light that was casting off of them. This weird warm glow that was 5 times brighter than the sun, but didn't hurt your eyes to look at it. I took a step forward when a man stopped me.
“I'm sorry you can't go in yet” he said “tis not you time.” I took the time to look around and I realized other people were with me. There was an old man in a pin strip suit, he was bald and clutching his hat patiently waiting. There was a large woman with curly blond hair she was in a white and pink dress.
Energy and metal creaking noises came from the gates as they opened, light poured out into the lobby area, I had to shield my eyes from it until my own eyes adjusted. Random people began coming through the gates. An old lady met with the man and they hugged. I now knew why I was here, I was going to see Caryn.
“Hi Poopie bottom!” I heard her voice behind me. She was just coming out of the gate when I turned around. Waves of emotions washed over me. I ran up the marble steps, hugged her, then broke down and cried.
“Caryn.” I repeated her name several times, “I miss you so much.” She had her hair cut shorter left the curls in, like she wore her hair in 8th grade. She was a lot chubbier too.
“I have to go now.” she smiled and as she headed up the steps. “You would not believe the food that they have here.” She disappeared behind behind the gates.

This was very hard for me to write. She was my best friend and we knew everything about each other. Tears are flowing down my cheeks as I type now. If you want to see this other thread about my sister here is the link. The death of my sister

Smile Another dream for your book... Maybe

Hello Joan~

I am new to this site as of today. I have read plenty of the things people have posted. I have had a dream about my Grandmother that I'd love to share with you.

My Grandmother passed away back in 2003. I have wondered about her for many years. Wishing she'd try to contact me in some way. Whether it through dreams or during the waking hours. I have had her contact me several times but that's not the point of this. If you are interested I will fill you in on all the little things that have happened.

Well in my dream I was sitting in a large room. Almost like a funeral parlor. My whole family was in the room. I was sitting next to my older brother but not really paying attention to anyone in perticular. I noticed a t.v. on a wheeled cart in the front of the room. My uncle asked everyone to watch the tape. So everyone was obedient and stared at the tv. I on the other hand have never really liked to follow directions and was looking all over the room. I was seated along the right hand side of the aisle and there was a long knee high table set in the middle of the aisle. I couldn't help but look at it over and over. I noticed my other uncle and cousin carring a woman over. It shocked me it was my Grandmother. She was much younger than she was during the end. She looked beautiful. She looked very much alive. I couldn't believe she was dead. Though she was supposed to be even in my dream. I stared as they lay her on the table. They didn't lay her on her back though she was laying on her side with her hand holding her head up. I just stared her down the whole time. She kept slipping all over the table and I'd look up at the t.v. for a moment and she'd be back in the same position. I couldn't help but giggle. Then her body slid all the way off the table and her head was still in her hand. I looked at her face and she suddenly opened her eyes made eye contact with me smiled winked and put her head back down. I started to laugh and cry at the same time. Then I awoke.

What I got from the dream was that she really is fine and that she's happy and healthy. She smiled which made me smile. She winked which made me laugh. Basically I got that there is happiness and laughter with her now. When her time came it was hard to see her. It was hard to smile and laugh. I always remember her for her sense of humor and smile. So I left the dream happy and content.

Anyone can interperet this as they please but I got the answer I had been asking my Grandmother to give me all along. Is she ok? And you know what... She definately is!

Default dreamt of my grandma the night she died

When my Grandma Ninette passed away this year in March I was out of town on vacation in Sedona, AZ. I was NOT informed of her death and the night she passed away (I was not formally told-although I saw a posting on my cousin's my space that said she was sad-it could have been because she died or was about to die so I was not sure) I dreamt of her all night. I was very stressed that night and was tossing, turning, crying, and screaming thinking of her gone from this world and death in general. Finally sleeping, I dreamt of her al night. I do not remember vivid parts of the dream....but I woke knowing she had been with me in this time of mental and physical stress. In one part of the dream I saw her naked body and was lying next to her (she was naked) and I remember feeling comforted by it....also there was one part where she was missing a limb? Maybe the same part? But, the rest is not clear. The fact that I dreamt of her...was the single most important thing that happened to me regarding her death. I spoke at her funeral and shared the part that I dreamt of her all night (left out the naked body with missing limbs). My grandma was very connected to dreams and talked often of loved ones who had passed visiting her in her dreams. As a child in Loseto De Bari, Italy my Grandma's mother died when grandma was very young. She had dream visits with her at several important times in her life. One I remember was right before the earthquake in LA (the big one in the 70s?), her mother warned her... I am not sure if this is anything of interest to you, but sharing it here felt great and telling the story was good for me. Thnks for the idea!

Default Riley Belle

I gave birth to my daughter on June 18th of this year. She was born here at home at 8:15 am after 3 hours of labor. She passed away 4 days later.

I recently had a dream of my mother who passed away 18 years ago. When I saw her I asked where she'd been and why did she go away. She turned me around and asked "What is that?", pointing to the recent tattoo I got in memory of my daughter. I told her "It's a memorial to my daughter Riley Belle, she passed away Mom..." I turned around and she was gone.

I had another dream a few days later of a little girl who came to my house (my mom was there at a desk). I asked the little girl if her mother new where she was and she said no. I then asked her to give me her mothers number so we could tell her mother where she was. She kept saying the numbers so fast I couldn't keep up. We fell out laughing- I woke up.

I had another dream just yesterday... About the same little girl. I was wrapping her hands in gauze (they were webbed and burned). She said the bandages felt good. I looked at her and told her "I'm so sorry this happened to you." She responded with, "Don't be sorry mommy, I like who I am on the inside."

Any interpretations?

There are two dreams that come to mind but one that completely stands out from the other. In order to understand this dream I'll have to tell you about Mark. He was my best friend and the love of my life though I never really got the chance to tell him just how much he meant to me. We were only nineteen but we were very close. He was intellegent, smart, funny, and a bit of a prankster at times. He was also a very deep person and I think in a way he knew he was going to die. He always said he wouldn't live to see twenty and that if something happened not to cry. He also lived his life to the fullest so that if tommorrow never came he would have no regrets of an unlived life.
He went to Texas that summer to visit his Dad and never came home. Apparently he got caught up in a trout line at the lake and couldn't break free. I must admit in a way I lost part of myself in losing him and at times I thought I was losing my mind. There were times when tapes would get stuck in the cassette player in my car and then when I'd lock the doors to go in somewhere and come back out they'd be laying in the back seat. There was a time I thought I saw him walking up the river bank and shortly afterwards my friends and I were chased by these guys in a truck, and on my twenty first birthday that we promised to spend together long after he and his promise had died I went to bed early and I had the best dream. I dreamed I had spent it with him. All of these things though I chalk it up to a mourning heart until I had the dream. I had this weird dream that me and two of my friends were driving around and there were no brakes. I heard somebody say your gonna throw another rod in your car. For some strange reason in the dream I got the notion of driving into the river when I had got out of the car and made it to the river bank everyone else had disapeared and it was me and Mark standing there. He wrapped his arms around me and told me that he loved me and everything would be okay. I wondered why in the world would I have such a weird dream. That next week my car threw a rod and I had it towed and was on my way to get a new car but I had to clear out all of my stuff in the car. I starting between the seats for things I might have missed and then in the passenger side back seat I found a little cubby hole area where the seat belt was located and I found a whole stash of about ten lighters and I almost wanted to cry. Mark was always getting on to me about smoking and everytime he was in the car my lighters came up missing along with everybody elses and usually that was where he sat. I think maybe it was his way of showing me that I wasn't just dreaming. How else would I have known I was goign to throw a rod or better yet that I would find his secret hiding spot

Default a father/daughter dance

Hello Ms. Wolfe:

I wanted to tell you about one of my dreams of my daddy. Daddy passed away on January 19 this year at the age of 87. He had an aortic aneurysm and chose not to have surgery due to his health and age. We had 2 more weeks with him at home before he passed. While he was in the hospital I spent EVERY night with him and stayed awake all night to care for him.

In my recent dream we (Daddy and I) are back at the hospital and my Uncle Curtis is up the hall in another hospital bed (he actually was when daddy was there in real life) I cant remember alot of the details but what I remember is that my daddy was going to see Uncle Curtis but I knew that Uncle Curtis had already passed (he's still alive in real life) I didnt want daddy to see this so I grabbed daddys arm and told him Curtis is already gone (as in gone home) I had hold of my daddys wrist, he slid his hand into mine and he wrapped his other arm around my waist and we slow danced. I remember that he was shirtless and he felt so warm. I felt overwhelmed with the love that I felt as he slow danced with me, his youngest daughter. We never had this father/daughter dance in real life and when I woke from the dream I cried and cried because 1. we finally had our dance 2. the dance was over and 3. I miss my daddy so much.

Lightbulb Loved one in a dream

My grandfather died in 1999, Normally the whole family was quite upset, I was not handling it well and I had this dream
I was sitting in a diner,(my Grandfather frequented a local diner) sitting at the bar of the diner with some not very wholesome people, but it never even occured to me to leave. My grandfather walked in as a much younger version of himself and came over to me I stood up and he held me by the elbow and helped me with my coat then linked his arm through mine and said my name and "lets get out of here" and we left.

I woke up very relieved and safe and had some closure to his passing
I remember the dream to this day
