Default my dream

Last night I had a dream about my decased father. He died in October 2005. For a long time after he died, I stopped dreaming altogether! Then a few months ago I gradually started dreaming again, but never about my Dad.

Then all of a sudden last night, I had a dream about my Dad. In the dream he had come back from the dead and was getting ready for work. I remeber thinking - 'what are you doing here?', but I was really happy to see him. He was putting his work uniform on, but it was the uniform of the wrong company. He had never worked for this company before and I was trying to tell him that he had the wrong unifom on. He then went to work and I was walking down the street where I live. I had my mobile phone and on it were lots of messages from my Dad, and I thought 'how come I never noticed these before?'. But I didn't read the messages and don't know what they said.

This is the first time that I have dreamt about my dad since he passed, and would be really interested to hear what you think!! Thank you

Default Good Luck with the book!

I have this dream for you. Perhaps you could include it in your new book.
In July 2003 I lost my grandmother and within 4 months my grandfather had began dating another woman. He and my grandmother were married 51 years at the time of her death, so a new relationship wasn't something expected of a 72 year old Baptist widower. February 2004 I had this dream:

I arrrived at my grandparents house to visit my ill grandfather, hoping his new girlfriend wasn't there. Upon entering the house I sensed something wasn't normal but I ignored it. I began to walk towards the fireplace when I first saw that all the pictures on the mantle had been removed and placed with new ones. Pictures of people I didn't recognize. I began to walk into the den where my grandfather was sitting. Without getting a chance to question the pictures, the phone rang. After he hung up he told me that his girlfriend was coming over to bring him lunch. I knew that getting a decent visit in wasn't likely, so I decided not to mention the pictures and make the best of the time I had. Within the hour she arrived. My grandfather ate his lunch and visited briefly with her before she had to leave. I was standing in the living room and looked over on the wall and noticed that not just the mantle pictures were missing, but all pictures of my grandmother were missing. Then as I looked out the window at my grandfather and his girlfriend, tears began to swell my eyes. Suddenly, the sense I wasn't alone startled me. I turned and looked over my shoulder and there she was. My grandmother was now a banshee, floating above the floor. Her eyes black, full of anger, as she looked passed me to see her beloved husband with this other woman. Her once sweet voice was now a cry of pain. She didn't look at me with the love and compassion I once knew. Just pain and anger. Her mouth opened and a loud screech came belting out. As she got louder, she started towards me, then passed right through me and headed out the window towards mygrandfather..............
THEN I WOKE UP!

Post Dream of Mom

The Dream of Mom

About 3 months after my Mom's death, I had a very vivid dream of her. To this day, I still believe was real.
In the dream, I was grocery shopping with my kids and my father. I went in one of the checkout lanes to pay for my things. I look over and see My Aunt, which was my Mom's best friend all of her life.
I notice that my aunt is crying and oddly wearing some of my Mom's clothing. Once I saw her tears I knew she was crying about my Mom.
I went over to my Aunt to give her a hug, once I opened my eyes I could hear my Mom crying, As I looked around I noticed the person holding me had changed. It was my Mom's hands, her body, even the scent of her perfume.
I was laying my head on her chest, as soon as I realized it was my Mom, she put one hand on my head and the other around me. I started crying even more so, She hugged me even tighter and began crying harder with me. My Mom wouldn't let me move to see her face, We never spoke any words.
Deep down my Mom knew how much the situation itself would've scared me, so in her own way she tricked me, but I'm thankful that she did.
We had our moment to say, "Goodbye, for now."

Several weeks later, while grocery shopping with my Dad and my Kids, I no more then step in the checkout lane and I hear "Marybeth!" with a sob. I look up and it was my aunt. (The same aunt from the dream.) I started to shake and obviously cry because of the comparison of the dream of my Mom.
The whole experience proved to me that my Mom really came back to say goodbye to me.

My mother died when I was 8 years old, she was a paranoid schizophrenic and took her own life. The night after her funeral I had a dream that I was there (every thing happened in the dream as it had in real life) I walked to the casket with my oldest sister, she leaned over and kissed my mother on the forehead and walked away crying. I just stood there looking at my mother, then all of a sudden every one else in the room disappeared my mother sat up in the casket and her eyes opened. Her eyes were glowing the same violet color as the dress she was wearing and she began to yell at me. She told me it was my fault that she was dead, because I was a bad girl and never listened or showed her the love that i was supposed to. I remember waking up with cold sweats and not being able to sleep.

Every time I had a dream about my mother it was always a nightmare, i would wake up with cold sweats and not be able to sleep.

When I was 12 I stayed at my grandmothers house for the night, that night I dreamt that I was in a big open house, there were tons of people there, my father and his new wife, my sisters and many other people that I didn't know. There were many large windows in this house that let the sunlight shine through, there were wood floors and all the furniture was white, i remember feeling happy and peaceful, the whole thing felt so real.
My father greeted me and led me over to a table, I saw a women with long dark brown hair facing the other way, when she turned around I realized that it was my mom. Immediately began to cry, I thought that she was going to tell me how much she disliked me and how it was all my fault that she was gone, as she had so many times before. As I began to cry she reached over and hugged me, she told me every thing was going to be fine now, and that she loved me. I looked into her face and she smiled. Then I woke up.

I explained my dream to my grandmother the next morning, and she told me that she had prayed really hard for my mother to make it into heaven that night. Since that night I haven't had another dream with my mother in it.
I don't know if it was just my way of letting go and being able to get past some thing that had cause me so much pain, or if my mom soul got to heaven that night. All I know is that i will never forget that dream.

well this was not exactly my dream but a dream one of my family members had, my grandmother passed away on the 28th March 2008 and well we are hindus by religion, as part of the final prayers we are to offer water to the spirit to help them on their journey but it seemed that some one forgot to do that and in the dream one of my family members had, they said that my grandmother talked to them and she told the person that she was thirsty, it was only after the dream was told that we realised that we did not offer the water.

and on another occasion another family member dreamed of my grandmother as well and she said that my grandmother said she was not ready to go, she wanted to stay for my sisters wedding, this one is weird because the family member that had the dream is not really close to us and i dont think that she new my sister was getting married in July, so I do beleive that there is life after death and that you do take your consciousness with you.

hope this helps sorry i could not be of more help but these are not my dreams just retelling what i heard

Default mother in law came back

after the birth of my triplets in 1989 and another baby in 1991, yes, that makes four kids in 19 months, i was very overwhelmed and needing help. my own mother was very deep in alcoholism and unable to help me and i was so wishing that my late mother in law was there to help me. my dream -- we were viewing her in the casket which was open. her face was decomposed somewhat with black lines but not badly, but as if she had been there a while - she in reality had been gone for a few years. i had the kids on my lap in the dream and my dog was also running around in the room. all of a sudden she sat up in the casket. a sheet of glass came between us. she said tracy, i know you want me there, but i can't come back. i am happy here but i want you to know i know about the grandchildren. during this even though the glass extended to the floor and high up, the babies and the dog were crawling and running through both sides on the floor. i had my newborn on my lap and as my mil was talking to me she said, if there was one thing i would love to do would be to get my hands on this one. and then she reached her hand through the glass and put her hand on the baby's head. then she said, but i have to go back, just know i am here with you and that i know what you need. then boom, it was over. i sat straight up in bed and started sobbing. i had seen her, it was more real than a dream, but she had come to let me know i was not alone. tracy@toerings.com

Default If you're interested;

My father came to me many times after he died. And I wasn't necessarily always asleep when he did. In fact, most of my conversations with him occurred while I was wide awake in the middle of the day. Because I loved my father so much I never once felt frightened by his initial presence, though his initial presence came in a dream just shortly after he died. He knew I was going through a really rough time and wanted me to know everything was going to turn out okay so long as I had faith. He also knew I had enormous faith. Because I trusted my father to always tell me the truth, his initial presence in my first dream served to keep me strong during those difficult times. However, because the difficult times last almost ten years, I think he felt the need to remain behind and not only for me but for my siblings too. I have five brothers and sisters who also make claim to having conversations with, listening to, or hearing dad's words crystal clear during the middle of the day as if he was right there in the flesh. My middle sister is the only one who was unable to hear my father in the day; therefore, he came to her in a dream and forewarned her about her health. At the time my sister was dealing with unstable uterus cells that continued to remain unstable for five years. My father came to preach to her about the necessity of good health and warned her how her unhealthy lifestyle was killing her. The lecture continued for most of the night in spite of the fact that my sister no longer wanted to hear my father's words. So typical of my father to not let you away from him until he was finished speaking LOL.

Anyway, if you think you would like the details of this story for your book I'd be more than happy to share them with you.

Too, I once had a neighbor whose grandmother followed her everywhere, in spite of the fact that she was dead. I saw the outlined shadow of this grandmother standing in my kitchen doorway as my neighbor and I shared a cup of tea in my apartment. Again, I was not afraid. And why should I be? There's nothing to fear of the dead and the dying. As for the afterlife, I only know what my father revealed to me about heaven and the various layers or levels and how through initiations of good acts on earth one is able to continue upward into the higher levels of heaven until one becomes like the angels. Honestly I don't have a clue what any of this means, but because it came from my father I think it must be true.

And now for a little note of interest that may or may not be related but that has always perplexed me about life before or after death; when I was a young girl of six or seven and playing in the sandbox, I was visited by an older woman who showed me various moments of my future life. What I did not recognize about this woman until I was much older was that the older woman was me. For whatever reason I came to myself as an adult to show me, the child, the way. I always thought this was strange. Why would a past or future self return to show you the way?

I was trying to get to my daughter who was inside some sort of gymnasium or large room filled with people. I was very worried about her. I finally got my "ticket" to get in to the building but when I got to the door, the door handles were on fire and I didn't know what to do. My grandmother, who passed away about a year before this dream, appeared wearing yellow (she hated yellow!) and grabbed the door handle for me and opened the door. We found my daughter and she was okay. I remember all I said to her was "wow, my daughter is taller than you are now".
