Default Bear hatches from Egg, Wounds of Christ, Dead Physicans

I feel it would be helpful to me should I post these dreams. I've been having animals feature prominently in my dreams. These 2 are probably connected. I apologize for the length.

DREAM FROM A COUPLE NIGHTS AGO:
Dreamed I went to the libary to reseach how to get backing for a research project I wanted to do. I really just wanted to my personal expenses paid for so I could go spend time in the woods. I perferred renting a DVD because it would be faster to get the information I needed. I got the gov't of Canada to back me fiancially. So I went to the woods. There was a few inches of snow on the ground. I dressed very warmly and just lay on the ground. I wanted to see if animals would be more likely to approach me if I just lay on the ground and I wanted to see if I could do it for 2 days. I was perfectly warm and comfortable the entire time. I was quickly surrounded by penguins. They walked right up to me and leaned on me affectionately and I put my coat over a couple of them so they could snuggle underneath. I looked around and saw I was also surrounded by deer. Many were bucks with substantial racks. One buck had an unusually shaped rack. It was very wide, and was kind of like two antennas. Another buck had a basket style rack, lots of points, but each antler curving inward to the other, like a basket shape. I heard a car pull up on the road and saw people comming towards my direction. I got angry because the people would scare the animals away. The people didn't get very far. One person fell dead because she couldn't put up with the weather conditons. There was nothing I could do about it. I continued to lay there so I may complete the project. Then there were puppy dogs playing with me while I lay on the ground.

LAST NIGHT:
I was visiting someone else's house for a small party for women in their 40's. I don't like aging and I am in my 30's. These women didn't look what I imagined 40 to be. They looked younger. They were dressed for going out and dancing at dance clubs. I said to one woman, 'Wow, you don't look 40, you look much much younger' in fact, she looked like she ought to be in highschool. At first I thought it was impressive that these women could act like and pass for younger women, then I thought, 'oh no! I'm going to be 40!' and I felt like the sight of older women pretending to be younger women as absurd. I left.

I was walking around in the woods with my dog, Rusty. Rusty wandered off and I heard a rustling in the bushes. Rusty came back to carrying something and he dropped it in front of me. It was a black bear cub! I told Rusty not to bring me a baby bear because the mother bear would be angry with us. We did meet the mother bear and she was sweet and gentle. She was unusually large. Adult females typically weigh 100-200 pounds and adult males weigh 150-400 pounds, but she was no black bear, she was the prehistoric giant short faced bear, weighing at least 2000 pounds and standing over 11 feet tall! (The giant short faced bear was the largest predator in North America during the Ice Age, the disappearance of large prey animals is thought to have caused its extinction). She was very friendly and wanted me to play with her and her cub. She also wanted to show me something. She led me and Rusty to a place in the woods where she laid a giant egg. The egg gave off a strong odor. I thought whatever is in the egg must be dead. She went over to the egg and broke it open carefully, and another live, healthy, baby bear came out of it! Now she had 2 cubs with her. She communicated that she would like to be friends with us and we could visit her and her cubs at any time.

I went to the cabin and as in real life, there were portions of the yard that were muddy with mud puddles here and there due to all the construction. Dad was in the garage working on a lawn mower. I wondered why the the garage had no roof and the car port was gone. The boat was just sitting on a concrete slab. I remembered someone warning me about that wind blowing dust over the concrete scours the concrete and it would need a fresh coat of sealer on it every once in a while. The wind blew and I thought it was only a minor thing, but the wind was very strong, and it blew dust into the garage, over the concrete, and over the yard. The wind would not die down. Then Mom told me Glenda from church died. She was a very old woman. In life, I think when I was a little girl there was an old woman named Glenda, but I'm not sure. Of course I thought it right that we offer our support and be sure to be present at her funeral. The name Glenda means, recently created, meaning "pure and good" from Welsh glan "pure, clean" and da "good". Then I was in a studio where a game show was being held for intellectuals. Mostly they just chatted with each other than play the game. I was bored and told my parents I was just going to go for a short trip to visit the cementery.

When I started to drive to go to the cementery, I remembered that it may have been moved a new location so people could build on the land. I turned right and the cementery suddenly appeared. It was not there a second ago. All the stones were light grey. I noticed a very pretty statue of a winged angel and stopped to admire the details. I remembered vandals had hacked off the hands, but on closer inspection, the hands were intact! I then walked over to look over an unusual memorial for a rich family. The family were humble servants of society and were of good character. They were apparently all physicans and scientists working to advance knowledge to find cures for all sorts of disease. The memorial were the diaries and journals of the deceased family members on display. An older woman belonging to the family was there holding a small party in memory of the deceased and I told her what a wonderful memorial she had put together! I looked through the diaries and journals. Most of them seemed to contain teaching notes for teaching other doctors. One journal was typed and it talked about learning how to diagnose disease by boiling the flesh off the bones. How could that help? Then it occured to me, he must have been a coroner or medical examiner and he was probably telling how to determine what disease caused a person's death. I saw a photo of a rotting corpse laying in a casket, and I heard this phrase, "wounds of Christ" and it was also written at the top of the page. I thought maybe the person had died from wounds similar to that which Christ endured. I saw the rotten flesh deminish till there was only a white skeleton in the casket. I'm no expert, but that skeleton was white, clean, and had no signs of disease.

Well these are many and varied symbols. But dreams represent your very thoughts and feelings. However, its not always easy to deciper a dream. There must be soime clues going on the symbols.

RESEARCH : That suggest that you want to prove something? Or maybe that you wish to appear authorative?

MONEY : You want canadas govt to pay your expenses. Often money suggests a link to effort and energy that we are wishing to devote to some project.

PUPPIES : puppies often link to devoted admirers and people who follow you. So consider any thoughts that link to such a dream.

WARM : you feel warm and happy yet you are surrounded by penguins. They live in the cold suggesting that you feel at home in situations or emotions that others maybe feel are cold.

SNUGGLE : consider any situation where the previous day you wanted to get cosy physically with someone or some situation where you felt cosy and closely attached to soem ideas or intellectual train of thought

There are just some associations. They may or may not be right. Its a matter of looking for the central meaning to the dream and some real life situation. Then try to develop the dream symbols and their true meaning

------------------
It is actually possible to understand what dreams mean. Simply look at the effects on people who have gone without sleep for a long time period. If you are deprived of sleep for several days then you will slip into madness. The reason for this is that sleep and dreams are linked to vital brain functions.

During the day we store up new thoughts and experiences within short term memory blocks. So if we are deprived sleep these become overloaded. The mind has no more space to store new feelings so these are merely forgotten.

During sleep vital brain waves emerge. Beta waves and theta waves are only ever detected within the brain at night. These help us process through those new feelings and experiences stored in short term memory. We integrate these new feelings into long term memory blocks. So if you do not sleep then you will not be updating your thoughts. You will not be building a bigger picture.

OLDER WOMEN : Well its probably very much linked to aging as you seem to hint. These women reprsent your own wish not to be embarassing as you get older and pretend to younger.

BEAR DIED OUT : You have previously mentioned your interest in animals and they probably represent some natural state and wish to be natural. So maybe the dream links to your wish to maintain your own natural behavior and get to gripos with your true self.... as you get older.

CEMETRY: You end up in the cemetry. Cemetires represent the ultimate ageing process... death. But they can also repesent a death of some part of you... in a sense it could be the death of youth. That you are burying a part of yourself

Its difficult to say exactly but there does seem a strong connection to ageing. The dream represents your own subconscious feelings. Maybe try to lin to this to some strong new intuition or insight into your own ageing process and how you are dealing with it. Do you feel that ageing allows you to become more at home with your true nature? does it disable you from being at home with your true nature.

The skeleton is an interesting symbol. Its untrouched and represents your own healthy body. Your not dead yet and your not suffering any really bad illnesses or disfigurments(i guess). Therefor the dream represents you weighing up conflicting feelings and emotions about ageing

------------------------
Many people make big mistakes with understanding dreams. They see dream symbols in uniform ways. They see some symbols as good and some as bad. Take a puppy - often seen as a good symbol. A puppy in dreams could easily represent devotion. But try to think of the many ways that the word devotion appears in the english language. Carefully read the following quotes : "Its a wonderful relationship - he is totally devoted to me"; "He scares me - he follows me around like a little puppy"; "he used to be so devoted to me but now things are different". So think of a puppy in a dream as representing the theme of devotion. Then try to see how that theme features in your current mindset. It could feature in a positive sense or negative sense. Having someone devoted to you may not be a positive thing(it maybe annoying).

Default Thank you..

Thank you...

The egg I thought was dead hatched something alive...it was something new...so it seems something new is emerging that I thought was dead?

The diaries and journals seemed to represent accumulative knowledge..perhaps signifying perhaps what is also important is what we leave behind?

I looked up a little bit more on bear symbolism...bears are associated with healing among other things...and then there's the physican theme. So there must be some connection to healing as well?
