Default attempting to save a person from drowning

In my first dream, I dreamt an unknown male was drowning (I was under the water with him) and I was trying to push him to the surface from underneath him. I failed with the first attempt but was successful in the second. Oddly enough I didn't feel a rush of adrenalin or elation from saving him. It was just something that had to be done...I get the same feeling (or lack there of) from putting up groceries :?

In the second dream, a cafe was on fire (never saw flames just smoke) and no one was trying to get out the people inside (they didn't know it was on fire.) I went in and got out a little girl who I am aquainted with and went back in to get more and I found three people (whom I am also aquainted with) dead. A mom and her two daughters. I felt horrible because I did not make it to them in time, but again no emotion about getting to the girl.

Your first dream sounds as if you had helped or supported someone who felt overwhelmed and who required assistance. The second, thematically, almost sounds like a reflection of the first. Having neutral feelings about such events could indicate that you possess a fair degree of self-confidence and did what seemed to you to be appropriate so, in your mind, praise was not to be expected. This dream could be an indication of your general approach to life as you get older (although I am not aware of your age). It is normally the kind of dream that one could expect to have in one's youth although this is not suggesting that you are in your youth.

Thank you for responding. That makes perfect sense for the first dream. I am however a 40 year old female and still don't understand the significance of the second dream.

I cannot detect anything significant in your second dream although others may be able to do so. While the plot of both dreams differ, the theme is the same. It is almost as if you are surprised at your own response to a crisis. In simple terms you do not make a drama out of a crisis where others tend to panic and this awareness of your own self-confidence may have surprised you. Possibly others may see something different.

Hi,
A drowned man is someone who is sank in the material affairs and savig a life is an indrect saying of teaching someone some morals and belief.
Smoke in a place means some oppression there, A little girl means a happiness.
Again saving lives means a moral discussion or teaching indirectly belief and morals.
Good luck.
