Watching a Teacher Grade Tests

I had a meeting with my former principal, but had to wait in the outer office. A former colleague was sitting at the secreatary's desk grading test papers for another teacher. The test looked like one that I had made the previous year. After she completed graded a test, I could that the child who had taken it had failed it. She shocked me by her comment that the child was stupid. I felt myself getting more anxious waiting to talk to this principal because he is someone who I did not care for.
Any help is appreciated.
