Body paint

I'm lying flat on my back in bed, my girlfriend is lying beside me, painting on my chest and stomach. She is using a long paint brush, the ink is black and I can't understand the symbols she is drawing. She doesn't speak or look at me but is intently concentrating, and I say nothing either. We're both naked. Any ideas?

if it was a tatoo would mean you will try hard to achieve scientific degrees, but painting means a useless action, and black means a sorrow is one the way.
