Skiing on Top of a Mountain

My wife and I took a winter vacation in the mountains of Pennsylvania. We had been skiing all day and now the sun was setting. It was very cold and we decided to go back in and I heard a man comment that the wind chill was -37 F. Another man replied that the resort wouldn't tell anyone about the low temperatures because then people would leave. Meanwhile, I was scanning the horizon from the highest mountain there and was admiring the snow covered landscape. However, my wife wanted to leave and began running through the snow towards a bright orange flame. As we got close to the flame, I noticed that it was so hot that it melted the snow that was close around it. Then we arrived at a small house and I realized that this was where we were staying the night before we would go home the next day.

A vacation is an escape from the ordinary and mountains represent rising above the ordinary. The snow is purity. You may well be aloof, above all the problems in your life but the cold temperatures could represent a lack of emotional warmth ( lack of emotion, a frigid relationship, or isolation, even could be holding back emotionally) . Your wife wants emotional warmth and when you express this, this melts all the coldness in the relationship and you realize everything is going to be all right, this is how the relationship is supposed to be. This is my best guess.
