another dream to be analyzed... please

my boyfriend told me that last night he had a dream that his father had died and that in his dream, he [my boyfriend] wasn't really that sad about it. he was thinking more about the happy times and memories. however in the dream he then started to think about how he was supposed to take care of his mom and his sister and that all of this was taking place near and old familiar bench. then his mind just started going in circles. after a while if just thinking he sees an old friend whom he hasn't seen in ages. the dream ends with him just closing his eyes.

any idea on if this dream is just a simple dream or could it mean something more? thank you for your time!
