I was in the front passenger seat of a car. My youngest son was driving and my wife was sitting in the back seat. We were traveling at night and I had my son drive because I was drinking whiskey in the car and was very drunk. He got stopped by the police and I screwed the top back onto the bottle. Then I gave it to my wife to hide. This made me feel embarassed because I knew that I had made them behave dishonestly so nobody would find out about me beong drunk.
Any help is always welcomed. Smitty |

Well the dream is basically about shame.. the feelings that you have done something wrong and set a bad impression. dreams relate to real life dilemmas. Think fo real sitiations where you have donme something wrong and wish to hide your tracks. Think of ways in which you have not been setting a good example to the children that you teach? How does this dream relate to real life. This is a story dream and so captures a particular emotion..
----------------------------- Many dream dictionaries tend to share a common mistake. They tend to use symbols in only one uniform sense. They will begin each definition with the phrase "You need to be more ..."(for instance the Army in dreams means that you need to be more disciplined). This is a fiundemental mistake. Dreams use symbols in rich and varied ways. You should realise that dreams can use dream symbols in the past context, the present context and the future context. They can refer to you and your own emotions but if they choose to they will concentrate on other people and issues surrounding them. Varzandeh & Uncle,
Thanks for interpreting my dream. Uncle, I have to say that I did feel shame during the dream. In a meeting with a co-worker last Thursday, he stated how he just wanted to go home, drink a bottle of whiskey, and then pass out. Take Care, Smitty |

Hi,
Being shame is a symbol interpreted as being a believer, as a prophet quotes : Shame is half of the belief. |

Well many dreams capture our reaction to something. What you say makes perfect sense. Embodied within the dream though is some conceptual thought... some thing that captures your own feelings about this incident. Perhaps it captures this kind of thought process "My colleague was saying how he wanted to go home and get drunk. I could admit to something like that. ". So to me the dream is about you reacting to exactly a similar situation. You are realising that your colleague and yourself deal with dsuch things in very different ways. Perhaps it shocked you that your colleague was so open about getting drunk
-------------------------------------- Many dream dictionaries have just one meaning in them. This is a somewhat simplistic approach. My own dream dictionary helps to explore the various meanings of dream symbols. The various symbolic meanings are drawn from a bank of real dreams and so therefor as reliable as can be hoped for. Each page contains examples fo the real life emotions that such symbols link to in practice. http://www.geocities.com/hairybobby2000/dreamessay.html THE DREAM DICTIONARY |
