His Past, my confusion...

I've been having dreams about my fiance's past. In chronological order thus far, every one different from the previous.
The dreams are of his old partying lifestyle, day-to-day things, ex's...
In everydream it's like I'm there, I'm watching things happen, hearing conversations... but I can also hear his thoughts. I can't interfere or be seen or heard, just observe.
I've been having these for about a week and a half now, and I thought maybe I was just making things up in my dreams... or something.
But yesterday I talked to him about some of them and he looked at me like I was crazy because I knew every detail from clothing worn to what he was thinking what girls looked like what their names were times dates... every little detail. I would never allow him to give me names or details of anything before me, I want need to know only, and now I know way way more than I would ever want to.
We met in 2005, then lived 5.5 hours apart until jan of 2009, not in a relationship.

I talked to my grandmother about it and I learned that she, her mother, and her sister had odd dreams through out their lives similar to the ones I'm having.

Any ideas as to why I'm having these dreams?
Does anyone know how to make them stop?
Has anyone else experienced this?

do you have any doubts about the relationship your in?, or are you just generally having problems at the moment?.

not being able to interfere could have something to do with a guardian angel or having someone watch over to protect another from any harm that may occur.

you seeing his past is giving you an insight into the person he used to be before he met you and it maybe trying to show you how much he has changed for you since you got together, discuss your dreams in depth with him and listeing to anything he has to say, it could be a coincisdence or you may have some form of special abilities.

im very good at sensing when things are going to happen, what will happen or even something involving a person or persons, (not a 6th sense) for example, my freinds phone rang when i was round his and had a name come to me in my head, and it was the person whos name came to me in my head.
very strange.
