Default unknown person in dream gave me name of real living person

I am needing some help in trying to understand my dream last night. I have never had a dream like this before...I've had prophetic dreams as you call them...but never one like this.

In the dream I walk up to the back of a white, 2 story house, unknown if the house is in a town or the country. I don't recognize it. At the back of the house is a barrel, next to it a dog house. I walk to the barrel and look inside. Not just a glance..but a long look, taking in everything I see. In the barrel is a body, well..corpse...mostly skeletal..with clothes on dating to the 1920's to the 1940's I am guessing. It was the wool looking pants, with suspenders...and a hat. Obviously male. I continue to just look in the barrel at it. Next thing I know...its not in the barrel any more, but beside me. Talking to me. Telling me sporadic things. I begin to write these things in the dust on the dog house, apparantly so I won't forget. As this "he" is talking to me...I turn to the barrel...and around the corner of the house comes a man...rough looking, unshaven, plump man...he doesn't look at me or "him"..but looks in the barrel, like he is checking to see if its still there. At that time..."he" jumps up on the dog house and is chanting...taunting the man..."you're in trouble now!" almost like "neener neener neeeeener! I am telling some one" then the man leaves. "He" again begins to talk to me...I continue to write in the dust. It was alot...then I woke. I lay there and all I could think of...was the two names I wrote in the dust. One was "Billy". The other...I have NEVER heard of before...as it is a first and last name...I went to the computer and typed it in. The one hit that I got...this person exists...and is a female, 73 years old, and lives in Louisiana. The first name is not a common name, and I have never known any one with this name.

This dream was very vivid. But all I can remember of what I wrote was the names. In my dream when given the full name, I thought at that time it was the name of the man that came around the corner. I assumed that "Billy" was the name of the corpse. I feel this dream means something...its totally different than any dream I ever had before. Because there is a living person, with the name, I will not post it. Thanks for any help anyone can give.

Come, come! With 7billion people of on the planet the computer is likely to come up with two names that are same!
From your post, I gather that you study dreams, do a dream journal or try to remember your dreams. You consider them imprtant or prophetic.
Your dream was about what was happening in your sleep. If you read your post again, you will notice that the dream is complling you to make movements that may be unimportant to you! However the dream is actually trying to ease some problems. the dream is making you turn, bend down and use your finger to write! In reality the dream is moving you about and waking you up! The final waking elements are the puzzling names.
In your case the movements spill over into your waking life as you: went to the computer and typed it in
Cheers Wolfjk

I really have no idea Wolf what you are implying.. but to answer your post...

I do not study dreams...but I do try to remember them...as far as the prophetic dream, I have posted the one that I had in the PD threads...

The inquisitive and "investigative" part of me is what drove me to the computer to look up the name...and yes...I know that there could be many people with that name...(in fact, I have 2 other women, in the same state as me with the same name as me) it was the fact that there really is a person with the first name CERTIE that freaked me out so to speak, because I have never in my life heard that name before..and then to top it off..there is a person with the first and last name.

I guess what I was hoping that some one on this forum could help me understand...not disifer and put it in to "your movements" mean this or that...I want to know why I dreamt about this dead body and why I was given the names. Maybe I'm looking for more of a "spiritual" answer...and maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. Thanks for your time.

Hi Dreamteller,
Thanks for your reply.
I'm sorry I cant give you any spiritual meaning. I can only tell you what the dream text indicate.
Names, dates, numbers, strange phrazes, strange language, and writing appear in many dreams and are used for the subconscious simply as waking agents. The enigma they present, connects up the brain.
Some might attach meaning to them, however I have seen dates and numbers come and go without any significance.
I hope someone else comes in and gives you the interpretation you are looking for.
Cheers Wolfjk

hmm...okay wolf...I am trying to understand what you are trying to tell me...if my writing in the dust was a waking agent...is there always that much? or was I just not waking up that it kept going on and on..it was alot of writing...and i stopped in the middle of it to look at the man that came around the side of the house...then went back to writing...asking "him" to remember as much as possible...I have never come out of a dream remembering a name before...this one more so than any I remember...felt like I was actually really there...

Hi,
Dreamteller,
I can assure you that your dream and your feelings about your dream are quite normal. Some dreams feel so real that even a seasoned dreamer can't tell from waking life!
This morning I dreamt that I was in bed with the imaginary wife of a football player! (I don't know the the woman, never seen her in real life!) In the dream I seen two racehorses being led past the window. The horses were bigger than the houses around them. Yet they seemed normal! Only realised I was dreaming when the woman asked for a drink of water and I got out of bed!

Dreaming is a fascinating subject. It takes a lot of experience to understand even a small part of a dream. The subconscious follows the state of the body and what is going on in sleep very closely and creates the dreams according to the needs of the sleeper. Apart from waking dreams there are dreams that keep the sleeper from waking. In times of illness or chronic pain dreams help with sleep and with healing.
In dreams it is important to interpret the movements the dream suggests. In your dream you were "writing" for a definite reason to move your hands and fingers. There could be many reasons why you had to move your hands. Have not you ever woke up with your hand hurting from laying on it too long, or the fingers were in a bad position?
Another aspect of dreaming is that sometimes the dreams are more vivid and more violent. Every dream depends on the state of mind and the state of health.
Cheers Wolfjk
