Spiritual Dreaming

Hi there,

I've had a few dreams lately that seemed to be linked somehow and I was wondering if someone who is into spiritual aspects may be able to shed some light on them?

The first dream was at night time. I was looking at the sky and there was starry constellation above me. I pointed it out to someone (I don't know who they were) because it was so unusual and colourful, to which they responded "it's Jesus being born".

In another, I was in a field crying, with my head dipped into my knees. A man appeared and walked towards to me. He was quite a big man, stocky, not frightening, was foreign and covered in tattoos. I can't remember what the ones on the front of his chest where but when he turned around there was a large drawing of a head. The tattoos were aztec style drawings. I had the feeling he was there to comfort me.

A few days later, I had a dream of a woman, she said she was Mayan and I had 3 lessons to learn. There was like a check list in front of me. The first on the list was to study the Mayan symbols, to which next to it there was a box and a large shining "tick" filled it. She didn't tell me what the last 2 were, she just left.

The 3rd dream was to do with the sky, it was night time and a huge constellation was coming toward the earth, it was rounded like a planet. There were then some fireworks and then after that deep purple cruxifixes on fire started showering toward the ground. Once they landed, they then all shot up back to the sky, but black and no longer on fire. in my dream, I had taken pictures of everything happening on my camera. When I looked back at the pictures, there was a picture of people walking down the mountains in the background holding lit candles.

Is there anyone who is able to point me the direction of what this could be please? Stars, constellations and night sky have been very consistent in my dreams for the last few months now.

Sorry I can't help you with the spritual side of your dreams. In MHO the only spritual side to dreaming happens when the dream is caused by a liberal intake of alcohol!

Stars, constellations and night sky have been very consistent in my dreams for the last few months now.

I can tell you that these dreams are caused by the position of your head and neck in the sleep. These dreams happen when you are sleeping on your back and looking towards the ceiling. Your pillow is either too low or too high, as the dreams are trying to move your head and neck!

The above quote indicates that the dream is indeed trying to move your head and neck to make you more comfortable.
Not anything spritual,but something primieval going on in dreams! The dream compels you to make or simulate the movements it suggests! This is the mirror neuron reaction. It started with the first bacteria and is still with us! When we see a movement, aneuron fires in the brain and we "learn" that movement and mimic it either subconsciously as animals do or we do in sleep, or use it consciously as a learning device. In nature, that is how animals learn the many tricks they can get up to. That is also how babies start learning.
My guess is that you have been thinking about a trip to Mexico!

Wolfjk, you get me every time! I do lay on my back to sleep facing the ceiling. However, because that's the only way I seem to feel comfortable sleeping since trapping a nerve a few years ago. The position thing is baffling me a bit. You mentioned that before when I kept getting headless dreams, not sure if you remember? I used to use 3 thin pillows to sleep on and reduced it to two after you suggestion and those dreams did stop (thank goodness!).
I now have one of those memory foam pillows because I get positional vertigo. Since having the pillow the vertigo has stopped, but these dreams have started. Do you think the memory foam pillows are a good idea?
As for the Mexico holiday planning....indeed you are correct, I'm looking into booking it to go in just over a week. However, i'm only going because the Mayan/ Aztec thing has been occurant in my dream state and during meditation. Hence why I asked if anyone had a spiritual opinion of it too.

Thanks for your reply. I use the specisl pillow, even take it on holiday!
I think we have to adopt the sleeping position that suits us best. Our dreams will help us to change and move if it gets uncomfortable. Once we know the dream is trying to help us we can go back to sleep!
