reoccuring and vivid dreams

the one and only reason i joined this is to find out some things about my dreams. people have always thought that the moon might have some effect on people, even though there's no real scientific evidence to suggest it. but does it? i've noticed that every month around the time of the full moon i have unusually vivid and reoccuring dreams and i'd like to know more about it.

a lot of the time i have a dream that takes place in a forest. the trees are really tall and the roots are spread out in a strange way. in between two really big trees is this beautiful lake thats surrounded by a bunch of rocks. not just little pebbles, more like jagged boulders. and the water is so beautiful, i'm not even sure how to describe it. the leaves mostly block the sky, but the way the light shines down and casts shadows on the lake is just breathtaking. if only it wasn't just a dream.

there's always someone by the lake too, but i can never remember who it is.

just last night i had a dream that i had collapsed in the forest. it felt so real as if i had really blacked out. when i woke up there was a thin, leafy vine growing around my right hand that went halfway down my arm. when i moved my hand it actually felt like a plant. and how many people know how it feels to be a plant? it felt like my arm was delicate, but coarse and stiff too, though sort of rubbery, i gues, and i couldn't feel things with my hand as well as i usually could.

i'm not sure what it means. two months ago i had another dream of the same forest only there were these giant flowers. i think they're called pansies? and there were also some big ones with a lot of pedals. sort of like rhododendrons, i guess, but not as round and more of a pink color.

last months was terrifying though... it made me question everything i thought before then. i had always thought of me and my friends to be very close. but in my dream i had some different friends. when i somehow ended up dying they all gave up their lives to save me... i doubt any of my friends would do that for me and i doubt i would be willing to do that for any of my friends. but it made me realize that hope really does always exist. that there is good in the world. i was so happy for weeks after having that dream, even though it really was terrifying.

this is really long, i know. i'm sorry. i'd understand if no one reads this because of the length. then again, i haven't looked at any of the other posts yet so i wouldn't know if this is long or not without anything to compare it too.

When there is a fullmoon or almost a fullmoon i usually am unable to sleep as well and when i wake i feel like i havent gotten any sleep yet im too awake at the same time to get sleep lol it is strange.... idk about your dream though

i think i might sleepwalk on the new moon too... i don't know... could just be a dream. although once i did fall asleep in my room and wake up in the living room...

That's interesting. So you have a similar setting that connects those dreams? I have that too. But I don't really know what it means... maybe it's a different way of approaching a problem, or just showing a different perspective on life or something.

As for the dream that made you really happy, I've read about those before. It's a funny name but it's called an "Epic dream", when it leaves you emotionally changed as if you had some sort of epiphany and you remember it forever. It's your subconscious sorting through problems you have and it changes you. You're lucky to have one of those, I've heard they're exceedingly rare!

And as for the moon, pink calcite, cerussite, chrysoprase, and smoky quartz are different types of crystals that could help alleviate your nightmares during the full moon. just place one of them under your pillow or somewhere near your bed before you go to sleep. If you're susceptible enough to energies like you seem to be with the moon, they should help.

i think you might have misunderstood a tiny bit. i love these realistic dreams! i don't want them to stop, i just wish i knew what they meant.

that part about the epic dream is pretty interesting. i don't think it's the first time i've had one though. they're really rare?

I actually enjoy nightmares even though they put me in bad moods or make me afraid of something. I'm really not a bad person, but I enjoy dark and scary things... I do not see why you would want to get rid of nightmares....

i like nightmares a lot. all of my friends see me as a little kid. when i desided to watch some of the disney movies i realized i was smiling evilly when watching the part in snow white when that evil queen is talking about the poison apple and the vultures are smirking at each other. i didn't even realize it at first.

i love being hunted down in my dreams. because even if i do get caught i always get away. cat and mouse, tom and jerry style.

I can be childish too ( i'm 15) I hate that the bad guys always seem to lose and the good guys also win... I like people who know what pain is...
