It's long, but I really want to know... is this normal?

Default It's long, but I really want to know... is this normal?

So, I've always had vivid dreams that I remember for years after having them, but I don't think they're nightmares. I finally decided to look up stuff online but finding objects that my dreams contain and finding out what they mean didn't clear anything up at all. My dreams are never based on one object or goal, in fact, they're more like plots. There's a start, and an end. Sometimes I'm not even the main character in my dream, and other times I don't know anybody in my dream, and sometimes I have friends in my dreams. They almost always involve an adrenaline rush at some point, whether I'm running away from murderers, hiding frozen in place hoping I won't be found, sneaking up on a secret gathering, or the like. But though some things that happen in my dream are scary, it's not an entirely scary dream, it just gets my heart pumping and my mind working. That's another thing. I don't know if they're lucid dreams or not, because in my dreams I never acknowledge that it is a dream, but I am completely involved in them; I smell, hear, see... everything. I also make logical decisions and have control. I just don't ever say, "I can get out of this because it's a dream".

I know it's long, but any ideas? I've always wondered about my dreams because no one else that I've asked have had dreams as vivid and they don't remember their dreams as much as I do... or is it normal?

Maybe you feel guilty about something and you are trying to run away or hide from whatever it is you are feeling guilty about... if that's the case i suggest you turn around and face your guilt then maybe you can get rid of it and your dreams may change... hope that is helpful

You are normal. You are just special. Dreams are a blessing. Everybody dont dream often. Those that do dream often and have visions tend to be more prophetic than others. Its a sign. May be intercessory. I see that you have been having trouble looking up symbols and things. I guarantee you that if you look the symbols up in the concordance in the bible and reference the scriptures that it gives you, your spiritual eyes will open up even the more. The bible is spiritual food and dreams are spiritual, they go hand in hand. The bible says that the Word of God is sharper than any two edged sword. So that really cancels out any of those other sources that you cant find the answer to your questons. If you would do that and pray for wisdom, God will open it all up to you in understanding. I am a witness to that. Believe me when I tell you that dreams are only a small portion of other things that God can expose you to. I have got some stories that will blow your mind. the supernatural is real and you got to go deep. The Bible says the deep calleth the deep. There is so much we dont know and we will never know it all. The Bible says gos gives us things precept upon precept, alittle here and alittle there. We got to get pass level one in understanding and then we move up. If you just try my suggestion I know you will move swiftly.

Good Luck to you, I pray you get what you need.

I really hope that you get the understanding that you need.

Hi,
Dream language is in an indirect way saying symbols and should be interpreted;

For example:
If one dreamt he was running away means he will be forgiven or he will overcome the enemy.
Because Moses dreamt he was running away from Pharaoh and later he overcame the Pharaoh.
If one dreamt men were running away from women means he is afraid of a big man.
To run away if he didn't scream means happiness but if he screamed means a disaster is on the way.

If one dreamt someone killed him means he will have a long life.
If dreamt he killed someone but didn't decapitate him means he will do him a favor.
If dreamt a group were killed means he will have a benefit. The Israelian /33.
If dreamt someone killed him in oppression means he is oppressed and someone will revenge for him.The Pilgrimage /60.
If one dreamt killed his own child means he will receive moral livelihood. The Livestock/151.
If one dreamt killed a fierce animal or an insect or a roach means he will overcome the enemy.

Good luck.

it's fun, isn't it? maybe just a little...? running away and hiding and the realisticness of it all. i'm the same way! i had this really weird dream once. i was laying outside in the grass and watching these weird stars that kept changing shape and color. then these aliens came and started chasing me so i ran back to my dad's apartment (he doesn't even live in an apartment in real life so it's weird) and everyone that lives there got brainwashed by the aliens so i'm running from all of them at once. but when i was running it wasn't so much of a "i have to get away" feeling as it was a "catch me if you can" sort of feeling. if your dreams are the same way, maybe it could just mean that you're really a kid a heart!

and also, just out of curiosity, do you always dream in color? i think it's strange how sometimes people dream in color or in black and white.

Thanks guys! I read all of your responses and it's cool to see what other people thought It was my first time posting on this site and I was surprised to get so many responses! So thank you very much, you guys got my mind spinning (in a good way)

& shadow77, I've heard about the color thing! I've never had a black and white dream, but I have had dreams that are vibrant, and others that lack vibrancy; they're more antique-shaded. It's weird. And sometimes my dreams are stuck in a sunset tone. What about you?

the only time i can remember having a black and white dream was two months ago. i think it was because of a feeling of despair. or maybe it was because i was supposed to be dead in that dream. i don't know. but i think the more a dream makes sense, the more vibrant the colors are. the more random they are the duller the colors are.

i remember on another site there was a thread that was three pages long and the people on it only talked about their dreams being in color or in black and white. maybe it doesn't even mean anything. maybe it's just random and some people just happen to only dream in black and white or in color.

to a degree, it could be random, I guess... but I don't think it is. maybe the color of a dream could be triggered by something as simple as watching an old-style movie or a bright animated film or the like. that happened to me before (why I had the antique-ish colored dream, i think) but that's an interesting topic to research... hmmm
& I had a dream last night, actually, so I might as well bring it up... have you ever had a dream where you have two different dreams totally unrelated? I had one dream, and then all I remember was a gap, and I had a completely unrelated different dream... all while I was asleep. two for the price of one one was about my dead lovebird, the other about my teeth falling out, but then they grew back. weird. dreams are so much fun. X3
