American Idol star is friend and than I discover he is gay

This is what I remember. My sister, niece, mom and I were at a store that was going out of business. We took the merchandise home. Home was our old house. We are trying on the clothes. Then my sister and mom are not there anymore. It’s just my niece and myself. We end up at this guys house (the guy was an American Idol winner) in the dream I ended up being friends with him. It turned out that he was married or had a girlfriend whom I didn’t know about. He kept trying to tell her that we were friends. Somehow all my clothes got scattered around the house. I told my niece to stay in the room while I gathered my things. I passed a few rooms, in one room there was a guy that I had never met sleeping in one room, and the guy that was my friend sleeping in another room. When I grabbed a few of my clothes he told me to shhhhh because I’ll wake buddy up. If he wakes up and sees me than he’ll think we are sleeping together. So I went back to the room where my niece was. A little bit later the wife or now ex-wife was in the house, my friend introduced us to Buddy. Come to find out that Buddy was my friends boyfriend. That’s when I discovered my friend was gay. Everyone was just talking and laughing. I was thinking in the dream “wow I didn’t know he was gay but he is still my friend” Then I finally gathered my things, took my niece and we are getting ready to leave and my friend says where are you going? Then I woke up. Any ideas?

I am trying to think and make associations .
I did watch a show earlier in the day where one of the characters had to tell his parents that he was gay. That is the only thing that I could think of.
