A Dream about a white dove

What does a dream about a white dove mean?

I dreamt that i was in this garden, it was beautiful, surrounded by all these beautiful flowers, all colours, and then this White dove was on my finger and i was stroking the head of the White dove, and i kept stroking it all day long.

What do you think this means?

White doves are primarily a symbol for PEACE. They are also a symbol of the Goddess in many Pagan religions, and a symbol of the Holy Spirit in Christianity. In the Old Testament, it was a dove that let Noah know when the waters receded enough to leave the Ark, by bringing him an olive branch. With all those flowers, it sounds like peace though, and what it can bring to your life. It's a very loving image!

Seems means a marriage or a baby girl on the way.

Thank you for your responses, im a female, and im only 17 and i live in the UK, and a baby girl and marriage? i doubt it, i am only 17, Muslim as well, and i doubt my parents will marry me off that early, and that dream was peaceful to see , but i like the interpretation of the dream though.

Hi there Allahs Slave. Nice dream, all peaceful and all ^^. Maybe you could do a little search on totem animals try using "animal", "shaman", "indian" and "dream" keywords. Try to have an open mind if you don't feel comfortable about this totem thing because of religion or something else. Not that I defend it or anything, but animals are a part of our world and the Indians seem to have a strong tie to them when it comes to the spiritual part, I don't know. Anyway, I came up with this "definition" of the dove:

"The Dove carries the energies of home and security as well as maternal instincts. They bring in the energy of promise and can bring the healing that is needed on all levels. ..."

The part of maternal instincts goes along with what Varzandeh said. It could be somebody else's baby.

Some guy that studies a lot about animals totems in dreams told me that we have a bunch of animals that were assigned to us, or joined us, or we captured them, whatever. And each of them meant some part of us. 1 is your fear, other is your ally, other is your "slave" and so on. This "slave" animal, it has another name, is supposed to obey you and be quite passive whatever you do to him. Well, you poking on the dove's head made me think about these things.

Lol! i wasn't poking the Doves head, i was stroking it and i dont think looking at Indian animal totems is going to help me, as i am a Bengali Muslim, but the Dove i know it means peace and the garden im a bit confused about that

Hey you don't have to deny your religion to look at indian totems. It isn't even a religion. I think it's good to learn from people that studied it. They had some understanding in dream symbology, although maybe a little outdated by now...

I searched garden and the overall is that it has something to do with spirituality, enlightenment, growth and completeness.

Yes that is true i guess, and i would never poke a dove! thats just cruel! and very insensitive, they feel pain too you know! Lol! i guess so but that dream was just blissful and happiness, the flowers, the garden, the White dove, i know it makes quite a picture in your head, but seeing in a dream is even more better.
