Dream: "How Can You Get to Know a Person..." June 29, 2009
I had this dream jsut as I was waking this morning. I dreamed I was watching Deborah Messing, and the man she appeared with in "The Wedding Date." They were just doing stuff together, nothing specific that I recognized. I heard a voice say, "How can you get to know a person, without spending time with a person?" I woke up kind of startled. EOD I felt like, yeah, how can you? I'd forgotten the movie, thoughth it was referring to my current Turtle status... you know, hiding in my shell. I do that sometimes. But then I thought about the movie itself, and my reaction to it, which was sort of like "Whoa!" Here's these two people deciding they know each other well enough to be a couple after a weekend wedding party in which he was her PAID companion/escort. Too fast! So now, I'm puzzled about what this dream means for me, and somehow, it seemed to point me back here, as if maybe I rushed away without giving myself time to get to know everyone very well. I have to do it differently though... less time online... and ignoring the arguers, because they're just draining! I was spending too much time here before... still... I'll try it again, I think. I miss having a place to work with dreams, darn it! One thing I noted this week... I had posted a dream before about Farrah Fawcett's coming death, and she died, on the same day as Michael Jackson. I realized I also dreamed of his passing ahead of time, but had not posted that because I didn't know who it was until he died... I had dreamed of him as a sort of dark angel or shadow figure, flying from behind me over my head, all in black and whispy looking, kind of like the dark angels that took away the murderers in "Ghost", and heard him say, "I was not a good person." I felt it was a celebrity, but could not figure out who. So he and Farrah died the same day, and his death overshadowed hers. Other than that, I've had a nice week or so of rest and gotten some things caught up with. I hope everyone is well. I'll try to look at some dreams later on... |

My internet has been off for the last week, so I just took a break as well. My old roomie was supposed to pay the bill this month in exchange for some computer work & I guess it took him awhile to get the cash. I can't complain though, it gave me opportunity to read a little more & watch a bunch of BBC & PBS documentaries from a collection I hadn't yet gone through. I didn't see your post about leaving the site until yesterday & it was around 4 - 4:30 a.m. this morning when I was posting my reply to the thread. I wonder if that was around the same time as your dream & perhaps as you were dreaming you picked up on the fact that someone was thinking about you. Either way, I'm glad to see you back around and glad to be back around myself.
I read your other post predicting Farah Faucet's death, posted before it happened, and I can't help but wonder how your critics interpret that one. |

Thanks, NfoJunkie!
Yes, I imagine I might indeed have picked up on you thinking about me. I tend to do that! Yes, that is cool about the Sham Wow guy and Billy Mayes, and that you obviously picked up on it... you are intuitive, whether you fully realize it yet or not! I vaguely remember that news story, but I wasn't really familiar with the people involved, so it didn't make as much of an impression on me, I guess, not enough to see it beforehand, for sure. And yes, I've been watching the "Amazing Grace" second season on DVD. I like that show, and think Holly Hunter does an amazing job. It's unusual to see a show with an angel that's gritty realism, a cop story, set in Oklahoma City, post the bombing there, and with a star who is a sex-addicted alcoholic who was molested by a Roman Catholic Priest as a child, and is obviously wounded, but is at root a very kind loving person. She meets a "Last Chance Angel" named Earl, and it's been pretty fascinating. I don't get TNT, so buy the DVD at the end of each season. It's a great way to watch something like this anyway... no commercials, and when you have a marathon with the whole season, you can really see how the story line plays out. Also been cleaning, ick, but gotta do it sometimes! And cooking! This weekend, it was lots of salads, so I can just have salad plates for a few days, Chicken-Walnut-Cranberry Salad, Tortellini Salad with pine nuts and Italian dressing and other goodies, green tossed salad, pickled beets and three bean salad from a jar. My personal potluck supper stash. Well, glad to be here! Back to checking out dreams while Lily still sleeps... |
