The title is merely a quote from some movie that I felt was fitting.
Umm...hi. I am new here...but who cares? Umm...typically, I have a lot of strange dreams and I just ignore them but the one that I had this morning kind of upset me. I dunno...I suppose I am just too sensitive. I did not manage to fall asleep until 07:49 due to my insomnia (incase that is significant). Okay, the dream started with me "waking" to find myself in a room that was not my own (but really was). I suppose we (my immediate family which consists of myself, my mother, step father, and three sisters) must have moved. All of my sisters are in my room (which is odd since I only share a room with one of them), my mom is in the kitchen (somehow I know that upon "waking") and my stepfather is nowhere to be found (also immediately known). As I sit up in my bed something crashes through the window. It's on fire. Luckily there is a fire extinguisher in our room..... My two youngest sisters scream and cry while the other merely jumps out of bed. I put out the fire and it turns out to be a pizza box (illogical...I know. empty pizza boxes crashing through windows) with scribble writting inside (I can no longer remember what it said). Their are also maggots crawling around inside (I know...technicaly that is not EMPTY). I walk into the kitchen to ask my mother about it. She glares at me and says "I'm going to be honest with you...you aren't a baby anymore. That's was (insert stepdad's name here). He's angry with us. And much like every other guy problem I have had, this is your fault.". She turns and walks away, bumping me as she goes. I just stand there with my mouth agape like a moron. And then the phone rings (not in the dream) and I wake up. The weirdest thing was that it was my mom calling to wake me up and tell me that it was my fault that her flowers are dying. Hopefully this won't be too difficult for you all to interpret. I just....I feel really crappy now. More so than usual. I thought that maybe if I coud understand the dream then I would not feel so awful about it. Thank you all in advance. |

You will be surprised!! This dream talks to you. It tells you the sorry tale of your night of "INSOMNIA" here are the salient points:
My guess is that you eaten some badly baked food that caused indigestion. That is what your dream was telling you. Cheers Wolfjk

i feel like i'm stating the obvious when i say that this is a dream about family strife, about how you're the hero when you save your sisters by putting out the fire and then you're the victim when you go downstairs to talk to your mom. her problem with men is not your and you're just getting blamed for her dynamic. she's being childish when she's not taking responsibilities for her own actions, so it's ironic when she tells you to grow up.
there's a lot of symbolism in this dream- the pizza box, the fire, the maggots, and i don't know what it all means, but i do think the fact that the step father is an absent figure in this dream is significant. yes he throws the box and he's talked about, but he's not in the house. |
