Being of Light -childhood reoccuring dream

This is a very vivid childhood reoccuring dream. It's now around 30 years later and the memory of it is still vivid. I have always wanted to know what it was or what it meant...
I was a small child when I was having this dream, and was also a small child in the dream. In this dream there was a being made of very bright white & golden light, so bright that I could not see any features or face. It was human shaped and felt masculine(male). It cradled me in it's arms at one end of the hallway in my house. (The house was like it is in real life.) I felt immense love radiating from this being, and felt very safe. I was very comfortable & very content in it's arms. It would then glide(not walk) down the long hallway, still cradling me, and stop at the other end of the hallway... I had this exact same dream many many times over the course of my early childhood. Then, the last time I had the dream, my Mother was standing at the other end of the hallway. The being tried to hand me over to her and I resisted by turning in towards it and clinging to it tightly. I communicated to it with out speaking "NO, I don't want to go!" and it communicated (telepathically i guess) back to me kind of sorrowfully "We HAVE to". (not "you have to" but "WE have to")Some how inside me I felt it was telling me the truth, and that I really had no choice, I HAD to go. I reluctantly relinquished my grip and let it hand me over to my Mother. Then the being disappeared and I never had this dream or any other like it again....
-What does it mean? Maybe I didn't want to come back to this physical world, but I was forced to? Don't we get a choice in that? Who was this being? God? An alien?

I believe your experience was an angel. As a matter of fact, it is equally debatable if aliens are not quite the sci-fi aliens at all - there is a theory that aliens could simply be some kind of Nephilims.

How old are you now? (You don't have to declare your age here ) I would suggest that you note any other such encounter in your life. Maybe you could be on a path to something.

When i was 4 years old, I had a very real dream... if it was a dream of what i called a "golden man". I was awakened by a bright light coming from the foot of my bed. At first i thought it was the hall light but it was very bright in my room. When i looked I saw a man from which this light was coming. He was kneeling down by my bed and when i got down to get a better look at him, I noticed that he was holding a book in his hands which was just as bright. The light was intense, but it didn't hurt my eyes... I asked him if he was real and he smiled. He didn't use words but he spoke to me telepathically and said; "of course I'm real." I came and sat in his lap... I wasn't afraid of him. He radiated kindness. I thought it was strange, but I was comfortable with him even though I had never seen him before. I began to close my eyes since i was very sleepy and he told me; yes... sleep now, everything is going to be alright. The next thing i knew it was morning and i was in my bed, but i was confused on how i got there. I really felt like it was not a dream... I think that first person that answered you has something there. I too have had to learn to write everything down, because throughout my life, here and there i would have unusual experiences and ease of insight concerning spiritual matters.

P.S, my mother told me that I was 3 weeks overdue in being born. She always said that it seemed like I didn't want to be born, because I took so long. I believe in the preexistance... that we exist as spirits before we are born. There are many reasons why i believe this. One big reason is something i would have to put in another post, but I thought I would add that it seems that your dream is showing you what you did, in a spiritual sense before you were born. It could mean you were not eager to come to earth. Maybe you knew what a difficult task God had planned for you to do here... just a thought... I do think you are meant to do something very great. I never met anyone who had a simular experience to what I had before.

I feel compelled to reply to your dream of Light Beings. I do not normally post my dreams on this site as I find many of them very personal and do not yet wish to share them. But I was struck by the similarity of something that happened to me when I was 4 or 5. Also a dream I suppose though it's hard to call it that.
I walked outside in my nightgown carrying a bag with my favourite toys and belongings. It is rather strange remembering it even today as I could feel the grass under my bare feet and I could feel the night wind on my face and in my hair. I walked to the front of the house. We had a large tree in our front yard and on every branch stood a being of light. (Angel if you wish to call them that). I could say they were dressed in white, but really I have no idea, as you say yourself, they were of light. On the ground at the foot of the tree stood another being of light. I walked up to the being and he/she (?) looked down at me and telepathically as I do not remember lips moving, said 'We have not come for you yet'. I also felt much love radiating from these beings and more then that, much compassion. I was very sad that I could not go with them.
That was it. The 'dream' has never repeated but it is something I have never forgotten. I am now 41.
Sorry I have no interpretation for your dream, but I hope this helps at least to know you are not alone.

I'd consider this to be your guardian angel or a guide, and that he is still with you, but you are not conscious of his presence the way you were when you were so little. You had to go in the sense that you had to move into this lifetime, and be the role you came here to play, in order to gain the experience that you came here to gain, and in order too for your mother to experience being your mother.

I can relate in that I didn't know I had a guide or open up to dreams and psychic experience until I was forty. We're not all born aware of this stuff! It was like I had to spend those early years not knowing about all this, so that I could really gain from the experience. That is why we're here! I don't really know who does the planning and choosing, or every little detail of it all, though some claim to know. I suspect it is a group project, planning it all out. I don't think it matters so much as paying attention and learning all we can from the experiences we have, and allowing them to change us in some way. That is what will allow us to move past them and not have to repeat them.

You may find your angel in your dreams again, when it is time.

I've done a lot of reading on near death experiences and beings of light like the one you mention come up a lot. Your description of its behaviour is entirely consistent with everything I've read about them which suggests your dream alludes to something real and isn't just some fantasy you dreamt up in your head (as some might try and have you believe).

Many years back I had an experience with an "angelic" figure myself. Around that time, I was having lots of very vivid and intense nightmares, and one night, I woke to find a large figure stood at the far end of the room. He (it looked male) was a tall as the ceiling and very held something in his hand. He had a glow to him, but looked as though he had "dimmed his light" somewhat so as not to startle me. It never spoke, but the room was filled with peace and calm. I saw this being though my sleepy haze, went back to sleep and never had a single nightmare after that ever again.

I feel that you were traveling in your dreams on a higher level and did indeed experience this. It sounds very angelic in nature or spirit filled, heavenly. If you were that young and can still remember this, then I do believe it was an experience rather than a dream. I've had dreams so real that I know I left my body and actually experienced them rather than "dreamt" them. Not wanting to come back to "reality" so to speak is very common to those who've experienced the other side.
