Dreaming of my ex and his new gf

hi im new to this website, and signed up after seeing dream similarities. Ive been broken up with my ex for about 4 months, i keep having weird dreams of looking at the moon with trees and a dark sky blue sky.with me lying next to him and then his gf popping out and laughing and paying no attention to me.then i try to leave their site.they pop out of doors and hold hands and laugh.i leave tearing a little saying if it makes you happy its okay and try to run away but he keeps staying there. the second dream i had last night i was lying down in his bed i looked around and he had all these action figures and movies things that i like from the same show i turned around and asked him why he had it and he just lied there with me in bed then he started laughing and she popped out from the other side just giggling i jumped off the bed and exited the house and was looking to leave again.

on a regular day i dont think of him much maybe a little but not obsessively.i keep my distance and never try to contact him,he contacts me to see how i am, but i stay away just because i dont want to hurt myself or him.

Perhaps you are dreaming these dreams because you haven't had "closure" (not meaning to sound cliche lol) about the fact that you 2 are over. I'm going to venture a guess that he seemed ok with the breakup more than you, and it hurts you.

THANKS FOR THE FEED BACK. IT IS A POSSIBILITY THAT MIGHT BE TRUE BUT SOMETIMES I SEE IT DIFFERENTLY JUST CUZ IF CERTAIN INSTANCES AND MOMENTS IN A DAY WHERE HE CONTACTS ME TO CHANGE SITAUTIONS IN MY HEAD

Could be subconsciously or consciously you don't like him contacting you because it makes it seem like you're still going out.

It sounds like a strange love triangle where your ex is being really passive and leading you on and his gf is mocking you and you're unsuccessfully escaping b/c this is a recurring dream.

In your dream you're unsuccessfully keeping distance from him.
