Boyfriend's strange choice of underwear...

This is the second dream I've had like this.
My boyfriend wearing women's underwear.
The first one he was playing around after getting out of the shower and trying on my panties. Just kind of being silly. But I was kind of irritated. I thought it was a bit disturbing.

Last night I dreamt that we had gone shopping together and I went with him to the dressing room so he could try on some things. I walked in as he was undressing and he's wearing these light blue lace and satin panties and matching bra!! I was MORTIFIED!! In the dream he was a little chubby and had man-boobs so he was kind of filling the bra out, which I think is hysterical. He's actually very fit.
I asked him what the hell he was wearing, and he looked and me and shrugged his shoulders. Said something to the effect that it was comfortable and thought it was nice. I was just in shock and embarrassed, not to mention freaking out. I didn't think he was gay, I just thought it was highly bizarre. Unfortunately, it didn't turn me on either, nor did it seem like he was doing it for fetish reasons - more cos of the comfort. Anyway, I think I left and went to go find him boxer shorts.

My boyfriend does get mistaken for a girl a lot. Particularly if people don't look at his face directly, or just seem him from behind. He's on the short side and has a very slim, athletic build. And he's got gorgeous dark, curly shoulder length hair. But he dresses like an average guy, has no feminine mannerisms, and facial features that are very masculine. It doesn't bother me that he's mistaken. I'm actually taller than him and he likes that.
He does have a hard time showing emotion and being expressive about his feelings. But is starting to let his guard down a little more. So I'm wondering if that is wear the significance lies - that he's trying to show me a feminine side to himself that he doesn't know how to express and is comfortable for him.

These are simply waking dreams. However you are apprehensive about your boyfriends lack of height, and the fact that he is sometimes mistaken for a girl! Your subconscious uses these apprehensions to wake you up near morning. I'm sure you noticed that these dreams happen near your normal waking time or after a nap.
I'm sure his lack of height, or his feminine figure will not stop him from getting on in life. Remember small men go about with big sticks!

Can you elaborate a little more on this "beaten and sorrow" meaning? I'm hoping you're speaking more of competition and not physical.
He did just acquire a new job with a significant salary increase, which required him to relocate to Chicago (I live in Seattle.) He's not particularly fond of the city so far, and honestly think that if they weren't paying him so much and it wasn't such a boost to his career, he would consider opting out of it. I'm wondering if that is the "big fear"...

And yes, Wolfjk, I have no doubt he will continue to succeed in life. He's already at amazing levels for his age. Confidence and persistence is key. And the theory about men with small feet... total myth
