Shared dream: blonde woman, white light
Last night, I dreamed that I was in my bedroom. Everything was extremely dark except for what my laptop screen illuminated. The laptop was sitting on my bed to my right. I was in the corner of my room and was sitting on the floor, or at least my perspective was from an angle shorter than my standing height. The light was very bright and white. Music played from my laptop; it was something I had never heard before. Sounded like instrumental/orchestral music with female vocals that remind me of Enya (it was in a beautiful tongue I did not recognize). I remembered the tune and the lyrics when I first woke up but I cannot any longer. The light from the laptop screen shone its light on a woman who sat at my desk to my left. She appeared to be around 40, but had smooth, youthful features. Her blonde hair fell past her shoulders and she wore a white robe or dress. She looked at me with a forlorn gaze. The light caught her eyes from the side, producing a peculiar shine in her eyes: an extremely vivid blue. I saw her eyes in what seemed like a zoomed-view. She said nothing and only gazed. Then I woke.
The same night, my boyfriend had a dream about a very similar woman. Her hair and features were the same, although he wasn't sure of the eye color. She was dressed in blue jeans and a white blouse. They were in a sparsely furnished white room with bright lights coming in through the windows behind the woman. He became aware of his dreaming and remarked on that fact to the woman. In response, she explained to him that she was aware of the fact that she was an entity manifesting in someone else's dream world. She said she was glad of it, because when her host wakes up, she would merely cease to exist only while there was no dream to manifest herself in. She was glad because she said that when humans die, their consciousness is trapped within the body long after they are dead. She had a very condescending tone, and my boyfriend got the feeling that she saw humans as something pitiful and cursed. He rejected what she said, but was chilled by it.
When I relayed these dreams to my roommate, she wondered if it was the angel of death who we saw.
Some background info: A dear friend of mine passed away last week. He was a troubled individual, bipoloar, and I believe he was very unhappy with his human life. I've been grieving him heavily. My boyfriend and I have been discussing the nature of death and consciousness at great length before these dreams. My dear friend had blue eyes, blond hair, and was acquainted with my boyfriend. In fact, the deceased is the reason he and I ever met. I also recall dreaming of crystal-blue eyes multiple times in the past. These dreams occurred quite some time ago and are not likely to be related (the contexts were very different and so were the people who had these eyes. They seem to be exactly the same sort of eyes, however). The people that these eyes belonged to said nothing. They only stared with a very calm expression on their faces.
