Default Strange deaths of friends

I have arrived at this site because in the past week I have had 2 strange dreams of death which have unnerved me and I am looking for interpretation. Someone close to me has told me that death dreams are not a bad thing, but these were a bit weird, especially the second one. Any interpretations?

The first:
1. A good friend of mine, who is as healthy and strong as people come, suddenly died at a restaurant while I was out of town. The cause: cancer..... suddenly died at a restaurant of cancer.

The second:
2. This one was much more disturbing. In real life - i.e. not the dream, I had recently been back home to celebrate my father's birthday and saw a lot of his old friends, including the mother and father of one of my childhood friends. In the dream, the father that I saw was being tortured and killed in a church-like setting by cult members who had taken over the church (or whereever it was). I was in the pews watching the whole thing as something of a hostage (with many others). I remember it vividly but it is so disturbing that I don't want to go into details.

The first one was weird and concerning, the second one scared me. Any thoughts on these 2 dreams?

A couple of notes:
1. I am not really religious, though I do believe in God.
2. Not proud of this, but: both dreams occured just before waking, but after a night of drinking. (Frankly they are what kept me from sleeping longer)

Dreams work in a strange fashion! Whwen you watch someone in pain or being tortured it acts as a sort of diversion from your own problems in the sleep the dream happens in. So the meaning of the above dream was that you had some pain or illness in your sleep and your subconscious created a dream that roughly resembled your own pain to take your mind off it. However your own problems could have been caused by minor ailments - a cold, a bit of indigestion or fever. Even some psycological pain could have caused the dream. My guees is that you had some real pain in the sleep.
The first dream:

is a waking dream. The waking agent in the dream is the surprise element of your hail and harty friend dies, plus the effection you feel for him/her.
You also fear cancer.
You dreamt this dream to wake you up from a late nights sleep or a bad nights sleep.
Cheers Wolfjk

Hi pastlife wanderer,
If you're having frequent dreams about the woods, the woods symbolize a life chapter where one seems lost, wayward, and confused, but all the "events" of the period will condensate into a clarity, when it's time to leave the period behind. The darkness represents obstacles or not seeing things clearly. You may be running, to try and avoid the confusion and downtime this life phase will entail. Perhaps you should be more patient and biding. The dream suggests you cannot identify your quarry, let alone find it, for now.

Pay attention to what your spirits tell you. It's actually much worse than "you don't know everything"; it's more like "you don't know diddly squat". Allow all the information your spirits provide to distill to the surface of your mind. Avoid protests and judgementalism. You will know the answers in time.

The details of the vampire dream seem scarce, but it sounds like you've recently disconnected from something or someone that sucks all your energy. Hope this helps.

I should have mentioned before that I am already in a relationship with someone else, who is very supportive of me. This has obviously added to my confusion.
This other person is someone who is kind; we have a lot of fun together. but sometimes I do feel that there is a spiritual/natural dimension that is missing. Is this something I should look for within myself, or was the dream saying that I am not with the right person?
Many thanks again,
Runningdeer
It actually touches upon both. There is some nourishment you cannot do without in intimate relationships, that may be insufficient in your current one. You mentioned your partner is supportive; you did not say "caring" or "affectionate", which may relate to the distance between you and the untouched waters.

Sometimes the dreamer simply needs to express their wants to their partner, and things will change. Other times, it is the right solution to look for a better fit.

Then there were a few that I was interested in but they weren't interested in me. Then there was one who every time I would walk away, he would follow me, then I would turn around and try and talk to him and he would ignore me.

Then all of a sudden this guy that I have been seeing was there, and I found out he was there to find me. I got excited he was there and he smiled and said he would call me when he got back into town. I woke up with a great feeling.

Can you tell me what this means? I have prophetic dreams all the time, and this feels like it, but different. More symbolic.

Thank you for your time.
Hi Dreamweaver,

The beginning carousel of unrequited interests, suggests this dream is about your secret worries about finding love again. You may be on to something; perhaps you need search no further at all, or perhaps you feel more grounded by your friend's presence in this period of your life. Be open to developing the connection.

Let's do the scary one.

The church-like setting is your own capacity for purity and innocence, and spiritual nourishment. When a "father" is a shaky image that seem half one's real father, and half something else, it tends to relate to connection to the spiritual unknown. Reaching for connection to this entity causes enormous personal growth and freedom.

The torture of the "father" symbol showcases the incredible harm inflicted on this potential. The cult members represent ideas or persons with an agenda that hampers your spiritual freedom, and harms the dreamer's personal truths.
You may literally feel held hostage and unable to act against the force.

Hope that helps.
